I purchased a 99 Silverado. Service engine soon light was off and about a week it came on. I have to smog it in order to get it registered and with the light on they will not smog it.

I've gone to Autozone & Napa and neither one offers the scanner to check out what code it's producing.

I was wondering if anyone has one of those scanners so I can get the code and figure out what is setting off the Service Engine Soon light.

I just had a oil change done, Fuel Filter Changed & Power steering fluid recharged.

I'm located in Fontana CA near the 210&15

 

I have a reader. But Im in SGV, but commute daily through Chino to Corona for work.
