I hear the Compton and Watts areas are pretty nice areas to visit. It's also advised to either wear a lot of blue OR a lot of red in those areas. If you wear your nicest jewelry and "bling" in plain sight, I know that the locals will be really impressed. Have fun during your visit to Cali.

 

Oh and don't forget to mention Hawthorne. My car got broken into there a while back.

Manhattan Beach actually has some laidback bars, etc. Decent nightlife (bar hopping) and decent looking people. Hermosa's good too (it's right next door). Too cold to go to the beach now though.

Damn, this is the busiest week I've had so far in 3 or so months, or I would offer to show you around. But I need to get a lot of stuff done before Friday (b/c I'm leaving for a 30th b-day bash - not mine - in Vegas this weekend).

Are you going to have a car? cuz if you're not, you're actually in a pretty good place (as compared to being stuck near LAX). The beach areas are nice, and a lot of athletes (Kings) and partners at my law firm live in MB.

If you have a car, West LA/Beverly Hills/West Hollywood is fun. You can go to the Beverly Ctr and check out blonde skinny LA chicks with $1000 bags. Or go to Venice and walk up to Santa Monica and see the funny people.

Man, I've been eating In N Out since they reportedly had an Mad Cow incident in Fullerton and I think I'm still fine. Anyway, I'm pretty booked for dinner tonight and Thursday and I'm flying up to norcal for "business" Friday... otherwise I would meet come out and pick you up in the pimp minivan.
Maybe if you guys do anything later at night, after dinner, I can come swing by. Keep me updated.
