Default Need Help

Hey guys!

I'm new to the boards but I've had my 03 350z for almost 2yrs now. About a year ago I blew out 2 pistons and my crankshaft. So I did what most people dont and I rebuilt my engine. After about 2 months of working on it along with my dad(school/work) we manage to rebuild the engine and it started on 1st try. (success)

Before the engine rebuild, I didn't have overheating problems whatsoever!
Now after everything was pretty much put together after about a month or so, the curse began. It started to over heat.
So like most people I quickly began to check my fluids, everything was normal. So I assumed it might be my radiator so I bought a new one with an OEM radiator cap. After I installed the radiator the problem continues. I changed my hoses and thermostat along with my water pump... and as you can tell nothing worked.

Then I started to see white smoke coming out the exhaust. I smelled it and it didn't have any odor so it wasn't burn oil or gasoline.
So my guess was a blown head gasket.

I took it to a Z specialist near my area and they manage to run all tests and bled the engine to see if I had any air in my water jackets.
So within 2days of diagnosis, we manage to figure out that it is a blown head gasket.

Now, I haven't been able to drive my Z properly for 6months and I miss the hell out of it. I need help knowing any one good who can do the job for a reasonable price and with experience. I would do it my self but I'm too frustrated anymore to open my engine again.

I'm currently located in the 90260 area (Lawndale, CA).
I'm willing to tow the car to the desired location nearby if anyone can help my find a good mechanic shop with experience and warranty on their work.

Help me guys, please! I miss my fairlady 😥😢

why dont you just pull the block and replace the headgaskets?

Assuming you know your way around the car and are somewhat mechanically inclined it's not rocket science. Read the factory service manual, do you have a good set of tools? a helper? and a few days there is nothing stopping you...you'll learn quite a bit and have the self-satisfying feeling of accomplishing the feat.

Just change the head gasket, you seem pretty good with the car. Just make sure you properly bleed it when finished.

Trust me, I've spent enough time on it and I'm beat honestly. Now I don't have much time and I need it up and running ASAP. I did the rebuild at my friends garage and unfortunately I can't use it anymore.
I'm at that point where I'd rather pay someone else who knows what they are doing and has time to do it in a few days.
School and work are killing me right now.

Assuming this is your daily driver?

At the end of the day youre either gonna pay to have someone to do it or do it yourself...it will be expensive!

Hm....I would also have had the heads and block decked to ensure that they weren't warped. Warped head could lead to improper seal of the headgasket.
