Alright guys. We've received suggestions to host our next lunch meeting at Hooters in Newport Beach, and I think that's a great choice! Of course, this will probably take a few minutes longer than our In 'N Out meet since it's actually a sit-and-order type of restaurant, so I think it'll be about an hour and a half or so. Also, someone from our last meet told me that self parking is available during the weekday, so we won't have to worry about valets.

I'd like to arrange for everyone to meet at a location that is closer to everyone first that has ample parking (like the In 'N Out plaza, etc.), then drove over to Hooters together. We would probably meet at 11:30 again, so we have time to get to Hooters by 11:45.

Also, maybe we should meet in the Carls Jr. parking lot (or in the hotel parking lot right next door if its really busy) on Campus and Von Karman. We would be backtracking to Hooters a little bit less than all the way from In N Out. I think most of us work in this general area anyway. Just a thought.

Edit: The el Torito right off MacArthur and the 405 might be a good option too. We can jump right on the 55S from there.

No problem! This has and will continue to be a regular thing... on Friday's... about once every 3-4 weeks or so.

That Carl's Jr. is within walking distance from my work! I wok in the two white buildings behind Carl's. El Torito is close too... but I think Carl's parking lot is bigger? Not positive though.

I'm sure as the date gets closer, more of the OC crew will sign up for this.

Unless you made other arrangements w/management, I think that Hooters still requires mandatory valet parking (which is ridiculous, as the parking lot is so small). Just an FYI..

 

!!Update!!

I just got off the phone with James, who is the Manager of Hooters, Newport Beach.

He confirmed to me that self parking WILL be available (he didn't think the valet guy came in during the day, but he said even if the valet is there, we can self-park).

But on top of that, he will give us 20% discount off the total bill for our group as well, with no restrictions on how large the group has to be (whether it's as small as 5 people or as large as 50 people).

So there you have it guys. SELF parking & 20% DISCOUNT.

Yup I did but I can see a couple dust underneath the paint. I wonder if that's normal or the bodyshop did a poor job.
