i would suggest gelato vero cafe (3753 India Street San Diego California 92103). it is an italian coffee shop that serves gelato (italian ice cream) and has a cool atmosphere. it is also in the hills above downtown, so there is a cool view. it is located between hillcrest and downtown, so there are many cool things to do after. gaslamp/downtown is probably your best bet, because PB is a drunken fratboy sausage and testosterone party.

is this a day thing, or a night thing?
It's an afternoon thing. Mmmm, gelato. Yeah, that's a step in the right direction. When you say hills, how steep? (not that great at steep hill driving with a stick )

I mentioned "cheap" and what I was really trying to say is, don't suggest Ruth's Chris. Any restaurant is fine as long as it doesn't make me look like a sugar daddy. And Starbucks is too corporate for me and has no character. Based on some web reviews that I found, Gelato Vero sounds like a cool place. If it's going well, we'll hang out more. What's there to do in the area? Maybe have dinner later on, too.

Yeah, I already ruled out PB. That's where me and the boys go. I haven't been to Gaslamp in years, so any suggestions there?

I guess that I'm looking for places with a nice atmosphere, not too loud (like a nightclub), with an outdoor patio where we can people watch and has things to do in the area.

ya, its fugly but would look better polished. the numbers will speak louder than the looks, and that was just the prototype; until the numbers, i remain skeptical.

well, just by looking at it i can tell that the runners are larger diameter, and shorter than stock. this would be great for FI, but i guarantee that it will loose power across the board in NA form. if they post otherwise...they are lying. mine will have the same diameter runners as stock, but they will be considerably longer. believe it or not, the runners on the stock lower manifold are pretty long, so it has taken me a lot of thinking and planning to decide which direction i want to go. i have acqured all of my 90 degree bends, and am curerntly trying to get the flanges manufactured...that is the tough part.

i am so busy with installs at the moment, allthough i can't complain, perhaps i will start on it in may.

wow ... people are making buttlove to this thing already ...

...b/c of ONE FI DYNO!!!

This is exactly like mustand Edelbrock performer RPM manifold ... no good for around town ... but good for a race. I dont know about you guys ... but that's not my idea of a good mod

i agree. in his later posts, lsdunique is already doubting the potential in NA form.

hey rob,
since we will be doing your install in a week, do you still want to install my arms on your car if you don't sell the cusco's, or should i just put them up for sale elsewhere? i am guessing that it will be cake to sell some brand new parts, but maybe i am wrong.

call me today and we can talk about it. do you still have the same #?

The problem is that all of the magazine racers here on the boards don't understand the $$/hp benefits that FI introduces.

Everyone thinks boosted and NA cars react the same to mods. Only one person had asked of runner length, plenum volume etc .... and that guy is TT'd ... I don't see this (in my eyes) uglyass part ever making it's way under my hood

that said, I did just get a Kinetix plastic plenum, for cheaper than the spacer ... gotta love when everyone gets excited about somethign new .. old (read: proven) parts' prices fall to the floor
