San Diego GTGs.....
Damn, this is a bunch of BullCrap! Turns out my clutch is worn out, at 20,000 miles? I don't even race the car or drive that hard. Can I get a super strong clutch so I won't have to replace again for at least another 50K?
BTW...thanks for the reference, Rob. Carlos is a good guy, I just wish he had better news.

Okay, I'll look into it. Was it Greg Vogul (sp?). I think there were two Gregs that worked at Oceanside, I'm not sure.
BTW, no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid people: How does a clutch/flywheel give me good power gains? I thought these things just "grab" gears...?? And how much power gains are we talking about? 5whp?

Hey Rob...I talked with Chris P. at Mossy Oceanside and he was actually the one that did the inspection work on my car. He said that the clutch plate was wearing down and that there were no problems with the transmission at all. I did try to start the car with just the clutch and it worked perfectly fine. But he did tell me that the JWT clutch causes growling in the transmission and that it would void the powertrain warranty. Are there any clutches that won't void the powertrain warranty?

Apparently when talking to Chris, it was just the clutch disc, suggesting that the disc is all that needs to be replaced and I don't have to replace the flywheel or anything. Still, I'm very tempted by that JUN flywheel....if I am going to be stupid, I should be ALL THE WAY stupid.

I talked to Greg and he can do the clutch flywheel install off the books for $350.
