Back to the topic of heel-toeing, I tried to heel & toe to start the car on an incline. Needless to say, I only managed to get it perfectly once. The other times I just ended up rolling the car way back while revving the engine like mad because it's hard to slip your foot off the brake and smoothly get on the throttle. Or I just end up stalling. Heel-toe is a real *****, but something I'm sure is quite rewarding in the end.

in regards to your rolling thing...

that's the beauty of heel-toe, is that you right foot is on the brake and the gas at the same time.

it isnt a good idea for starting on hills, however. i would let the clutch out until it grabs, and then let off of the brake. the clutch will hold the car. then give the car gas and let the cluch the rest of the way out.

doubt the girl will like it though (it is her gift after all) ... since it kinda sounds like a name for a stupid mut, not a $2k+ purebred

Mine will be named Chubs...Do NOT steal my name...J/K if you want to go ahead. I'm years away. Chubs is a sick name for a bulldog IMO.
