Hey ... my tint is peeling (the shop is blaming it on the indexed windows) but whatever. I am getting it replaced free.

Anyways, I have 17% on the 5 windows right now .... and I was wondering what the limit in CA was. Basically, should I lighten it? if so to what?

thanks
jim

I believe our law states that we can't have any percentage tint on the driver/passenger window.

I say just keep em at however you like them. My friends and I have an assortment of tint from limo to about 28% and we don't get pulled over. If you do get pulled over it's just a "fix-it" ticket and not a fine.

If you REALLY want to play it safe...I say around 30 you'll get away with it...but don't stress to much it's just a fix it.
