Hey everyone,

I have officially accepted my job out in San Diego(first job out of college! wohoo). So me and the Z are coming your way!

I will be moving out May 30th, and my car should "meet" me there shortly after (car movers eeek )

Anyways, I am looking forward to meeting everyone out there/here, joining you all on some canyon runs (finally get to have some fun in the car!), and hopefully tracking the car in my free time.

I will try to be active on this board(so.cal) in the next few weeks in hopes of meeting some people here, but I am still a bit busy tying things up here and readying from graduation.

Welcome to SoCal Jim. My home town is only 95 miles from Indy.....I am originally from Cincinnati. Then some great years in Pittsburgh.....then to Los Angeles.

Remember to throw away your ice scraper before you come out.....lol.

Good luck with the house hunting........bring lots of MONEY!! No basements here either.........so throw away or sell anything you have stored in a basement or you will be like I was at first........ cramming so much in your garage you can't get your car in.

Wedge .... I know all about the snow. I lived in Buffalo for 15 years ... can you say lake effect :-p I was close to selling the Z before I got this job (I was going to go back to Buffalo) ... but now I am keeping her ... and its time to get custom!

No extra storage items coming along ... I am doing a pre-graduation blowout! Selling everything! Even the stereo ... eek!

If you push forward your flight to Saturday, you may be able to make our Hooter's meet on 5/1/04.

As for banks, we have the regular banks here... BOA, WFB, etc. I guess it all depends on who you prefer. Who did you bank with back home? We might have a branch over here as well.

As for where to rent.... we will need our Diegan members inputs! I'm more near the LAX... so I have no idea about the housing situations in San Diego.

You're gonna love it out here, I too am a transplant from another state (NJ). This truly is "America's Finest City".

Anyway, where in SD will you going to be working at? I noticed you said you're looking for places in Chula Vista and Coronado..... Chula Vista has some nice areas and you can usually find something down there for reasonable prices/rent (SD standards). Coronado is a bit more expensive but just about all of Coronado is nice...

Actually, just about evey place in SD is nice (remember I come from jersey so our standards might not be on par) but places I would avoid.....

National City (close to Chula Vista, it's not that bad)

I'd never think i'd see the word "cheap" and "La Jolla" in one sentence! Must be nice to be by the beach all year around.

I go to school there but never get the chance to hit the surf...too busy. I'll keep a look out for your silverstone.

 

There is a chrome silver coupe I've seen in my neighborhood with PA plates lately, as well as a black coupe with a body kit around somewhere, too.

Mine is easy to spot; just check the vanity plate thread

Yeah, the superblack with the Veilside Version 3 kit right? She attends UCSD but I've only seen it from afar. She roams around La Jolla often. And sure enough the guys on campus are like when they see it.

I have a Silverstone with Veilside Version 1 front and sides so I'm pretty easy to spot. Wave or maybe throw up the finger if you see me i'm sure i'll give you one in return.
