Looks like we are going to have a great turn out once again

This is an all day run so I know everyone will get their fill

I'll be making up the route this weekend and should have start location and times posted by Sunday night..look forward to seeing everyone there

 

as in driving the route cuz i live less then 10 min away from the entrance to topanga canyon on the pch side. I love canyons and would go with you if ud like..

There seems to be some confusion on where this run is going.

This is NOT a Latigo Canyon run

This is the Simi / Santa Clarita Valley Run that we have done twice before only in the reverse direction

We will begin somewhere in the Santa Clarita Valley and end somewhere in Simi Valley.

We will stop at Harley's Rock Inn for lunch in Lake Elizabeth.

Start location and time will be posted this Sunday night

Sorry if there was some confusion on anyone's part about where we are going

 

OK guess I Wasn't paying attention. Is this route relatively free of cops and slow traffic?

 

For the most part yes...that doesn't mean we won't run it safely Anyone planning on blasting through this run should do it on their own..not with the group

 

^^^^ I agree with Pat we must take caution on these runs. I would hate to see a mishap on this trip.

Susie & I drove the route today so lets meet at 9:00 am in the Blockbuster/Vons parking lot on Bouqet Canyon just north of Newhall Ranch Rd.

Take I-5 North to Valencia

Right on Valencia to Bouqet Canyon

Left on Bouqet Canyon just past Newhall Ranch Rd to the BlockBuster parking lot on your right side.

I'll have maps and directions for everyone when we meet

As we say on the Harley runs, "make sure your gas tanks are full and your bladders empty when we start the run"

We will end the run at Grinders Resturant in Simi Valley.

Approx. 2 hours drive time

We'll take a restroom stop about half way

See you all on the 26th

Just to make sure I understand all this, being an OC guy. This run is starting in Valencia and ending where? What freeway or road are we taking.

Okay......I see that we are going from Valencia to Simi valley now. Is there a cool canyon road that connects those two or something?

We'll be going over Bouqet Canyon to Spunky Canyon to San Francisquito Canyon to Elizabeth Lake Rd to Lake Hughes Rd

Then, I-5 a short distance to 126 to Grimes Canyon ending in Simi Valley

Sounds like one of our group bike rides. This should be less tiring, however.
