Default July 23 ... 1/4-mile fun at LACR.

There's group of us heading up to the 1/4-mile track at Palmdale this Friday evening for a little drag racing fun. Doc says the smell of burning rubber and unburnt fuel is good for the health.

Every SoCal-ers are welcome to come for a little tension relief session.
Location = Los Angeles County Raceway (LACR)
Cost = $15 to run all night long, $5 to spectate.
Time = 5:30pm - 10:00pm

... Yes, bring them SUV's and Metros if you'd like.

Results there aren't very good for bragging rights @ 2800 elevation (0.5-1.0 sec slow) -- but i'm may go, sounds like fun.

You're absolutely right Patrick. Time slips at LACR are lousy, so don't anyone expect a world record pace :P On the average, one should expect 0.8 - 1.0 second slower to the standing 1/4-mile at LACR. Drag racing is not normally my gig, as I'd prefer open track events at road courses. It's still entertaining once in a while and very cheap

There's about 5 or 6 of us going so far.

Hope you see you there!

Too short of a notice so I can't make it this time. But do you have an email list for people interested to be included in the loop?

I get about 0.5 second difference between LACR and Pomona raceway using my then car Integra LS; 16.1 and 15.6, respectively.
