Question Where to buy hard to find wines in Los Angeles?

I need to find some hard-to-find wines for my relatives and I have no idea where to buy wines. I looked in regular liquor stores but they don't carry these ones that I'm looking for. Do you guys know any wine speciality stores??? Thanks in advance.

I'd check out Wine Expo, 2933 Santa Monica Blvd., Santa Monica; (310) 828-4428. Great selection, great prices. Call ahead to see what they have in stock-- if you are set on a certain label, they may be able to order it for you. Good luck.

Hey Sho,

I've had the same problem since I've been here. Can't find the same wines or liquors I could get back home. Quite frustrating at times. You can check out www.bevmore.com, and search the site. But you can also go find their locations on the site, in and around the Los Angeles area. They have a pretty wide selection of wines, spirits and beers you would not get in a regular liquor store. They had at least 12-15 different kinds of beer from Belgium, so you might find what you're looking for in wines. I didn't unfortunately. Good luck,
Jen

Thanks guys for your prompt replies. I'll def. try that store in Santa Monica.

Jen, that's a very interesting "search" site. I looked around and they seem to have the wines that I am searching for. Thanks!!

Go to www.vinoquest.com

That is Todd Serota's company, he is local to you in Redondo Beach and does every wine you can imagine! He is also a car enthusiast like us (just got a new Porsche GT2)

He also owns www.tracquest.com which is a track day club which includes gourmet lunches and wine tours! Great fun!

His wine tastings are like car meets, always crazy cars show up)

In O.C., check out High Times Cellar in Costa Mesa.

There's also a wine shop on PCH just south of Newport Beach Blvd. Don't recall the name of the place right now. I've been in there a few times and their selections are pretty nice. Also depends on what you mean by hard-to-find.
