This Sunday Nov. 21'st will be the Falken Tire Drift Showoff and Car show at Irwindale Speedway! 605 fwy just north of 10 fwy

This will be a great event and you can come support the 350Z show cars and drifters competing. I know of at least three 350Z drift cars attending, and I'm sure many more will be in the car show competition. If you have never seen the Pro Drifters do there thing, this is a great chance to check it out in person! Also will be a model search, JDM vs. DTM competition, and many vendors!

03Z33, you said you were going to see if you can get couple free tickets for us.

 

I'm still working on getting a few more free passes... but cannot promise anything. I am allowed to bring one passenger in with me for free, so if anyone wants to ride in with me (park your car outside) you are welcome to. (I have to get there at 7:00am).

I also got two passes which are already spoken for , it is not as easy as last time to get passes, since they might sell out

Oliver, See you there! I don't know yet if they will be allowing passengers during practice (before 12:00pm) but if they do you should come for a ride I will bring an extra helmet just in case.

I actually just got back from the body shop where my car is being painted (yes at 12:00AM!) and they are working hard to get it done in time for Sunday... It sucks because I already missed todays practice and it doesn't look like I'll have the car back until just before the competition

I'll keep an eye out How can one get a ride in a drift machine?

 

Last year they allowed some ride-alongs... but this year it is being organized by Club4AG/Drift Day and they have been pretty stingy with allowing this (for obvious security/insurance reasons)... If they do allow the ride-alongs then you are all welcome to ride with me, Just come down to the start of the course.

 

Thanks for the offer, Jeff! I'd love to ride with you when you're drifting but I don't think I'll be there before noon (even though I only live 2 miles away).

BTW, it looks like it'll be me+2. Oh, just wondering, but do they require SA-rated helmets, because I have an M-rated one.

 

M 95 or newer is fine.

Well, I just got the car back from the body shop (11:30PM!) They only had time to do the front bumper, I will have to run the stock sides and rear

Now it's time to go back to work installing the test pipes... can't run the car with the leaky stock cats It's going to be another all niter

The drift showoff was bad ***! It's too bad that I forgot my camera and had to use my friend's that didn't have much zoom. Pics will be posted later
