FS: HKS RS Coilovers - Like New!
Selling my HKS RS coilovers. Fast Facts:
-- Spring rates are 8 kg/mm (447 lb/inch) all around.
-- 32 way dampening adjustable front and rear. These get harder than Sandusky at junior high wrestling match. (Too soon? I don't know.)
-- 2.5 inches of height adjustment. See picture for how low these go!
-- Do not need to take off wheels to adjust dampening on front or rear (depends on wheel style)
These retail for between $1400 (vender hook up) and $1900 new.
Reason for selling: Needed something to go lower.
Very comfortable coilovers. The best thing about these is you can have your wife riding with you during the week and you don't have to hear her ***** and moan about the shitty ride quality, then take your girlfriend to the track with you on the weekend and have a blast watching nipples fly out of her shirt. :BOOBIES: (Results vary. Not responsible for personal injury.)
These are like new. Have about 3,000 miles on them. Never tracked. Not uncommon for these to go 50,000+ miles before needing any type of work done. Very well made. You will not be disappointed. People will be jealous of you. Promise. These are the coilovers everyone wants, but ditch because they wanna be lowz and stretched like the hookers they are.
Shipping not an issue at your dime. And I'll pack that **** tighter than a inmate sentenced for life.
Any questions. Don't hesitate. I'll have a smartass answer back.

**** it. I've done your research for you. I'm selling these for $800 + shipping and PayPal fees! (Unless you send as gift. I'm legit. I have candy. Anyone with candy is the truthest mother****er you can keep around.)
$750 with 35,000 miles. God damn that's a lot of miles.

I understand half of these say they have money in hand. I'm old school and do first come first serve. Always give them the benefit of being first in line. Will wait 12 hours for payment before moving on to the next person.

Hi all,
I have some good and bad experiences with HKS coilcovers with my g35 coupe and my Lexus sc430 coupe.
In 03, I first bought my g35 coupe. My first mod was APS single turbo kit, stoptech bbk......... HKS RS coil to go with my Maya RT5 19".
This coilcovers lasted 3+ years around 30k miles before getting rear (both sides) clicking noise issues. Both struts in the rear were shot. I never tracked this G. It was auto and it was built for my wife. I contacted HKS but couldn't get help. I was told that the first batch hks some flaw in their newly design. Im still looking to get the rear set serviced. Any one? My next coilcovers set was Tein Flex :-). During that time, I also bought a set of HKS LS ( not RS) coilcovers kit for my 02 Lexus sc430. This car now has 199875 miles on it. ( yes close to 200k miles). I have no issues with this set ever since :-).
Lmk if the deal isn't going right :-)
Thanks all
Ned

Thank you for your post!
I cannot offer a guaranty, but I can try to give buyer peace of mind... Any part, no matter the reputation of a company, has the potential to fail prematurely or not live up to someone's standards.
Lets take a look at two examples I posted at the end of my original post:
$750 with 35,000 miles.
http://g35driver.com/forums/steering...coilovers.html
This set lasted for 35,000 miles. Even after so many miles the seller states in his thread,
The manufacturer number on this set is RS 00260. The number on my coils are RS 00334. I'm only assuming that with the numbers getting higher, it means my coils were produced after this sellers. His HKS RS coils lasted 35,000 miles without "wearing out" or making noises and were produced before mine. Again, I am only assuming from this that my coils could not possibly have been a "first run" of which you speak of.
Next item....
$800 with 31,000 miles.

These coilovers were being sold by a forum sponsor/vendor with 31,000 miles on them. I can't know for sure, but these may have been used on the track a few times judging by who the seller is and his reputation for performance driving. His coils have the manufacturer number of RS 00253. Remember, mine have the number RS 00334. Mine have never been tracked or even driven hard (God forbid I nicked the wheels you see in my photos). Again, I believe my coils were produced at a later time than these - based off these numbers found on the coils.
I hope this helps, along with the countless positive reviews these coils have received over the years! However, should you or anyone else ever need assistance from HKS you can contact the new USA distributors at one of the links below.
As one last final note I would like to ask you about your car further. You said it was turbocharged and that your wife drove the car. That means it:
1.) Was making quite a bit of torque correct? And..
2.) That you may or may not know how your wife drove the car when you weren't watching.
I've seen quite a few turbocharged cars on low boost squat pretty hard when they throw their weight back on the rear suspension. You mentioned that the rear shocks were what gave you issues. If your wife aggressively drove a torquey, heavy, turbocharged G35 like she would a NA powered G35, that's a lot more wear and tear on the rear suspension daily than most cars see. The suspension may not have been set up properly either, dampening may have been too soft bottoming out the rear struts on hard accelerations; or too hard putting a lot of increased pressure against the rear shock body seals. Just something to think about as well.

Turbo + soft setting on coils + extra torque + bad massachusetts roads + wife heavy right foot = stress :-)
Where am I in line? :-) oh I forgot to mention, the rear pass spindle/ball bearing gave up before the rear struts.
Is it sold?
