I was at the autoshow tonight talking with Dale (same guy we bought our 08 from and i always talk with) and he expressed interest in doing a meet and greet every 1st sunday morning or every other sunday or somthing, at Luther Infiniti in Bloomington. A car type show that we could meet and shoot the ****.

He said he would talk to the general manager to get the OK, but he said they could offer donuts and coffee type of thing.

I told him you guys would probably like that so he is going to ask.

What do you think? We could show on their lot and stuff. other clubs have done it as well.

It would be a good way for them to meet some of you guys.

 

Well considering Cars and Coffee is also usually the 1st Sunday of every month its gunna be hard to get people to go

 

It would just be some sunday a month. im fairly sure if they allow it to happen, the date can be flexible (they arent open sundays anyways)

I think the Sunday coffee deal is a great idea. I didn't know dealerships were open on Sunday, but I'll be up for a meet every now and then. Maybe we can rent out their service bay and do some light modding.

Seriously, I think if they spin it properly there could be some free advertising for them if customers knew that we had a classy show or meet.

 

It would be a completley dealer sponsored event. They would open on a sunday and host a meet for us. It would be cool for them because they get to advertise, but also meet the 'other' section o their clientel that are enthusiast drivers.

Well, i'll go in there when i get back from Mexico and ask him about it.

 

I don't know if they legally can do this on Sunday? MN statute and all. I knew a sales guy that got into trouble because he even approached a customer on a Sunday afternoon while he was just picking something from the office. I say we should do it the second Saturday of the month.

 

Any new word on this? I'd like to at least get them interested in hosting just one if not more meets this summer.

 

I dont think its illegal. It is a car show thing put on by a dealer.

The car show isn't illegal but I don't believe they can legally have the dealership open on a Sunday. MN law is one of those strangely strict states when it comes to dealerships and what they can do on Sundays. It has to do something with what they call a Blue Law if I recall correctly (trying to remember from my college days). It has something to do with observing religious standards or guidelines. I suppose it would work if they had something set up in just the lot. Crazy stuff though.

 

I'd go if I was already in town for a meet with ya guys else no way I'm driving 3 hrs for a sunday morning coffee. Dont get me wrong I love ya guys but if Im not in the cities Saturday night then odds are I'll be hung over Sunday morning in my own bed... Well most of the time XD

 

I dont think they'd be open. Just the lot and a few sales guys with coffee or what not. But maybe thats illegal, who knows.

Nah man. none yet. He said they mgiht have to do it on a saturday do to the fact that he might not be able to get anyone to open the place up no a sunday haha
