i hate stillen so go to SGp so they can rape you on prices. Or do it yourself in 2 hours and a $20 jack.

sgp prices are pretty high, but you can talk them into giving you discounts by telling them you're a member car forums.

Please don't do stillen, it is overpriced and overweight. Go with Borla, Nismo, or Injen. There is a shop called woodlands performance suspension that is pretty good on prices/quality of work. I hear SGP is good, but I have never used them, I install all of my stuff. Your best bet is buy the exhaust online for cheap and get it installed somewhere.

Wow...
isn't it amazing how all of the "experts" come out of the woodwork to poo-poo on you or your idea, when you ask a simple question?

Hey...
if you like the Stillen Exhaust System, then by all means go with it ! (especially if you've already bought it)
Do the research before you buy though. The Stillen Set-up doesn't get the best reviews in comparisons. Sport Z Magazine did a comparo test a few issues back. Go to their website and see if you can get any info about this.

I have to agree with Aaron though...I think the Borla is the best set-up.
It's not always about the numbers. Sometimes it just boils down to which one just sounds the best.

Go to SGP. Yep, they're expensive, but do good work.
They give a discount to Z Club of Houston Members (and stand behind their work)
or...
Go to Awesome Z (281-219-0015). They have access to just about any type of system you might want (including Stillen). I can personally vouch for their work...it's the best !
Whatever way you go, good luck,
zcardave

The guy who sits next to me at work had a Stillen CatBack in both his 350Z's..the first a 350z Performance, and now a 35th.
I am having Mr Kin Chan of Z World do it.
I spent a few hours talking with him in his shop.
He is a cool dude!

Sorry, I wasn't trying to hurt anybodys feelings regarding the stillen exhaust. Dave is right, do your research and pick which one you like the best. I can tell you I have had my borla for 1.5 years now and I love it. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, I'll promise to be impartial. Hey dave, when is the bluebonnet run this year, I need to stretch out my car's legs every once and a while.

I got a quote for exaust in dallas. They told me book rate is 1 hour so $68 in labor. This was for a nismo kit... I don't know if thats an easier install or not. I think cats were 1 hour and headers were 2 or 3 hours I can't remember.

The nismo bolts up likr the stock exhaust, it is very easy to install, Borla is very hard to install, It comes in 17 pieces. To be honest, I don't know how bad the stillen is to install. Any exhaust should only take an hour to do, headers however take longer than 2 to 3 hours, it took me 10.

Z World is on SH290 feeder just south of Spring Cypress but north of Telge and Barker.
Use mapquest, as there is a side street you make a right on to off the feeder, just after the garden store with all the fountains:

Aaron,
you crack me up !!! 10 hrs.? Man, for me it would be more like 10 DAYS !!!
I guess that's why I pay a mechanic to do all my ''big stuff".

Yep, Kin is a good guy. He's located on Woodworth. They finally cleared all those woods that were between his shop and 290, so you can actually see his shop from the road.

The Bluebonnet Run this year is Sunday, April 4th. I've sent out the details to everyone of the Z Club of Houston email List. If you want me to re-send it to you, email me at: zcardave@aol.com
or...
you can look on the website: www.zcar.org
This year's run is going to be totally different from previous years.
Hope to see you (and anyone else that would like to join us) there !

10 Days, the install was hard but not that hard. I will definately try to make the blubonnet run this year, last year I was late and you guys were already gone, I sped down 290 but surprisingly never caught up to you guys. Isn't Sunday April 3rd? What time can we meet you at the north location?

Kin Chan had his guys install it, only took an hour, but of course we killed 2 more hours talking about cars as well as doing a scan on my engine.
The exhaust looks and sounds great.
Only odd thing is I could have sworn my co-worker has Stillin in "black" letters on the tips, where as mine look brown paper baggish!
Not sure why that is.
