Question Tinted windows in Texas

I want to tint the windows in my 2005 DB 350Z. I found this link that talks about the legal percentage for all different states. In Texas you can go as low as 25% in the sides and any in the back. I'm planning to put 25% all around and maybe 50% in the windshield. What do you guys think? What about the 50% on the Windshield, Do you think is not going to drive to much attention from the cops?

I think that info is dated... every tinter i talked to said 35% on the sides was the max legal..

Thank you guys for the info. I think 35% on the sides is fine specially when you have black interiors. If the back window can be lower than 35%, I will try 25%.So you guys don't think that doing the windshield with 50% is a good idea.

I used to tint my fronts all the time, now I don't think it is worth the possible hassles.

I have 35% on the sides and 5% on the back. Thats about as dark as you can go here in Texas.

inspection is 20% on the doors and as dark as you want in the rear, however, law states 35% on the doors and no linit on the rear.

Hey guys,

Salutes again here from Austin. I'm going to be doing my tinted windows this coming weekend and I was hoping for some input in where are the best places to have this done professionaly here in Austin. I want someone that have done some 350Z in the past and knows about the windows rolling dwn/up when you open the doors, I don't want the tints to get messed up. Thanks again guys for supporting the Z community.

I guess I have to get the greasy streak issue fixed by my Nissan dealership before I can get tinted windows.
