Default Texans Interested in July HPDE at Texas World Speedway?

I've just got off the phone with one of the guys that works at Texas World Speedway (in College Station, TX - see their website: www.texasworldspeedway.com) and he convinced me into signing up for one of their HPDE classes that they offer on a 2-day basis during the upcoming months (Apr-Dec, $250 = 1 weekend, $475 = 2 weekends, etc)... I decided I'd give it a try and I signed up for the July 9-10 HPDE, so I figured I'd let everyone else know and maybe we can get a pretty good contingency of Z's/G's to come out...

All the info is on their website, but kinda as an overview the weekend goes kinda like this:

1) Saturday morning you arrive early and take a walk-through of the course, followed by a short classroom session on the do's/don'ts... then after lunch you take a few passes with an instructor (I think they drive your car first, then you drive) - you get more aggressive as the day goes on and your confidence builds...

2) On Sunday, you come back and take a couple laps with the instructor, then you are on your way... the more experience you have (me = very little) the more you are let go to do as you please on the track... he said they will assist you in any tech issues you might have (ie brake pads/tire pressure/suspension settings/etc) as they have extensive knowledge of the track and of what works...

I think it will be a great chance to get some Z/G guys together and see what our respective cars can do on a well-respected road course...

Yep, that's the dates I signed up for - I figured if I have a blast and want to go back another weekend, I can schedule another one later in Sept. or Dec. - you interested?

June 4th & 5th the Z Club of Houston is planning on attending the Driver's Edge Event at Texas World Speedway. I've sent out an invitation to join us to all the other Texas Z Clubs....of course, not a lot of y'all would know about this since very few of you belong to your area Z Clubs (Houston, Dallas, Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Austin, Brazos Valley, Temple).
If you are a member of your area club, be sure to contact your club officers about this. They should have all the information. If they don't tell them to email me and I'll get it to them.

There should be quite a few Z's/Datsuns/Nissans in attendance.
The Driver's Edge is holding several spaces open for Z Club participants, but he warns us that this event fills up QUICK. Rick is also offering a discount to all registered Z Club Members.

I am interested... still debating if I need a brake upgrade first. Will the heat in July be a problem?
