I agree with Doodz. Everyone have TCS and VDC for the rain? =) I don't have VDC =(

Add one more, the guy at my apartment complex will meet us there.

David - Glad you got the note I left on your windshield. I also invited Dave Gardner (the silver enthusiast) but he has plans this weekend.

Looks like the rain has slowed for the time being, we are still going to meet. I am not washing my car though!

Anyone know the route?

Sorry Tony. Don't know the route, and I started this meet. haha. I let Articfury take over this time around.

Looking at the doppler radar and the trend in the past few hours, we should be in clear skies after 10:30.

And I washed my car yesterday. But don't really care, it's my stress reliever after work on Fridays =). Oh well, I'll be the cleanest dirty Z out there.

I just talked to Jeff.

Anyone that wants to go ahead and meet up, we'll be there.

There is another round of rain that looks to be curling back in behind this current stuff, but we'll just have to see.

See ya there.

First part of the drive was a blast! BBQ was excellent as well. Sorry I had to bail after lunch, but like I said, I'm headed to Houston this afternoon.

Here are the few pictures I was able to take. I didn't get a chance to take any once we got onto the smaller country roads. Had to concentrate on driving

Z y'all at the next event!

Thanks for taking the pics Rodel. Sorry that I stuck myself in those last two pics. Yeah, the early morning drive was nice. 160 miles and 3 nicks off the hood =\...and mud, lots of it in my wheel well.

So I'm still confused at what happened post-lunch at that stoplight. Did you end up getting lost Howard? or were you heading in a different direction?

Thanks Derek for organizing. Glad to see everyone who came out.

Man, that looks like a great turnout. What a sight. Sorry I couldn't be there.

Could anyone share the route so we can check it out ourselves?

Thanks to the opportunity to lead the route, and to articfury for the opportunity to drive his car for the day.

We need some more pics posted!

Don't forget dinner Wed night at 7 (The Pier, with the S2000 club and all cars invited), and a special Z corral this weekend at TWS.

We'll have to do it again sometime, planning for a full day. That will allow for the full route...

What started out as a miserable rainy day, turned out to be a beautiful one when it mattered.

jwfisher, thanks for planning the route and leading.

illphil, if you think it looked fast from back there, you should have been in the passenger seat

engiNERD- Howard split off to head to their hotel, that was a planned split. We were going to pull over somewhere but by the time we realized where we were there wasn't really a good place to do so.

I am glad everyone had a good time.

Thanks to everyone that was able to make it.

D

PS

Don't forget the Capital Z of Texas monthly meeting tomorrow, Monday night, at 7:30 at the Fuddruckers.

Then we have the Wednesday meet at the Pier.

Good busy week for Z folk.

C ya there...

Howard,

Any time y'all are heading this way, give us a heads up and we'll put something together.

Glad y'all could make it and enjoyed everything.
