Default [AUS] 350Z Hill Country Drive May 28th

All,

When: Sat May 28th starting bet 9-10
Where: To be finalized

A great route has been put together for a good day of driving.

The route will be discussed at the meeting location. The nice thing about this route is there are several escape points where people can split off if they need to cut the trip short. That way the trip is flexible to most people's schedules.

The mid point of the trip is Opie's BarBQ for a great lunch.

I'd like to get a count of how many people will be coming. So far I count 3.

Apexi350Z (350Z) not confirmed

Default 350Z only?

You might get more of a turnout if you open this up to other nissan models. It seems your being a bit biased. Even though you used to own a 350Z, you'll be driving your EVO right? Just giving you a hard time.

I should be out there with my roadster. Where is the meeting location? I'll pass this onto the club if y'all want, but I can't gaurantee only 350Z will show up. Just let me know and I'll pass the word on.

I am just helping the group plan this meet.

In the other thread, "Austin Meet Pending**" the guys that wanted to do this event said they wanted a 350Z only event. That's why I hadn't sent anything to you about putting out to CZOT. I didn't want to cause any friction with the group.

With the low response, I think it would be a good idea to open it up to at least all Z's, if not other groups, like we have done in the past.

BTW, that's one heck of a "garage queen" you've got there.

I am waiting on a response from Jeff about the meeting location. I'll update you as soon as I find out.

Hey Dereck, just giving you a hard time. I understand that these guys would like it to only be 350Z related.

Anyways, once you nail down the details, let me know and I'll send it out to our e-mail list.

Hey guys, no biggie. If you want any Z, no problem with me. I actually got to hang out with Rodell and his crew this weekend and they're pretty cool, so I'm up for another run this weekend with them. =)

I can't edit the original post to change it.

Do we want just Z's then, or do we want to invite the Elise and S2k folks as well?

The meeting point will be the Taco Cabana at the Arboretum, in front of Best Buy.

Be there between 10-10:15am and we will discuss the route and options. When Apexi gets there we will head out.

Doodz, will you send this out to the CZOT mailing list? TIA

Wish I could make this this Saturday but I have inlaws flying out that afternoon. Any alternate plans if the weather does not cooperate?

It's not really in the Arboretum. It's the Gateway shopping center. Once you get into Austin, head N. on 183 then exit Hwy 360. TC will be on your right. There is also a Best Buy in this shopping center.

Z ya then!

Yeah the weather is not looking great.

We have 2 options

- Check the weather forecast on Friday and make a go/no go decision then.
- Wait until Saturday and make a game time decision at Taco Cabana

The downside to the second option is if we cancel last minute Howard will already be in route.

What do you all think?

Option 1 would be okay, but then if it doesn't rain, we have a missed opportunity, and I would kick myself for that. It says rain today but I see sun.

I would choose option 2

If you choose option 2, just give me your number Derek, so I can call you and let you know when I am there, and if it's still on.

or I can give you mine.. I'll pm you.

I think we should go regardless of weather. We've done drives before in the rain. Based on today's weather, I don't think it'll rain tomorrow. Looks like the chances keep getting smaller as the day goes on.

Z y'all tomorrow!
