Default Z Picnic at the San Jacinto Monument

This coming Saturday (July 9th), the Z Club of Houston is hosting an old-fashioned picnic under the trees at the San Jacinto Monument.

I've invited all of the Foreign Sport Clubs that I'm familiar with and have gotten a really good response...if you know of any clubs (other than the ones posted in the Houston Chronicle), please feel free to invite them). Of course, individuals are invited too !

When you arrive at the park, veer to the right and look for all the Z Z Z 's...not the cars...the actual letters ! We've rented Adam's Island for the day, and will be charging $5/car, with the money going to the Houston Food Bank. We'll also be accepting non-perishable food items too.
We've got a concessioneer setting up with sno-cones, drinks, etc.

Some of us will be meeting at Doneraki's Mexican Restaurant at 9am on Saturday. The one in the Gulfgate Shopping Complex, just inside the 610 Loop and I-45. We'll caravan out to the monument...pulling out at 9:30am.
Some people are just driving out there on their own.

Either way...hope we can get a lot of Z's out there. Be sure to bring along a blanket and a basket full of goodies. Remember...this is a state park...so there are to be NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES !!!
Z you there,
