Default Shop recommendations in Austin?

Recently purchased the Z. Any shop recommendations in Austin area for regular maintenance and also for customization/modification installs?

Thanks in advance.

As far as regular maintanence buy some ramps and i will show you how to do it free! Anything else i wouldnt know about. I heard annihilationcustoms is a good place but i havent tried them out yet. About to get them to paint a CF hood for me though. I will post the results when i get around to it.

they said 350 for just the top side. But they said they could do it no problem. I prob wont get around to it until I get tired of looking at a black hood on a yellow car. So that really depends on how many people feel the need to tell me it looks weird lol.

For suspension, tire/wheel mounting, and minor other mods (i.e. exhaust, intake) Soulspeed is the best in town.

I'd recommend having them do a performance alignment on your car to make sure it is aligned for performance driving (unless you are going to do a suspension/wheel change in the near future)

I emailed Bill @ Soulspeed today about cost of header install. he told me "$750 for install and I'll need to car all day". and the website says $65/hr for labor....soo......i think soulspeed might be too expensive for most things....eiyther that or they work real slow....i think ill do it myself!

I know some people that have installed headers on the Z themselves and swore they would never do it again!

cll japanese auto tech, the are recommended by www.CZOT.com Im having them install my 3.9evo flywheel and quaife lsd. They quoted me 750 with redline syn fluids so i bet theyd be alot cheeper. Plus the owner is an ex racer. Cant beat that!

Default Japanese Auto Tech

I would recommend them also. I recently took advantage of their "free 31 pt. check" coupon that is available on their website. I would say they have very good rates. I inquired about the 30k service and was told about $100. I also noticed Better Business Bureau stickers for the past 12 yrs on the office window. The guy that checked my car told me he used to race Z's. Pics in office of some 240Z's at the track. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. I recently had my engine, transmission, and differential fluids all changed to Amsoil/Redline. The cost for all 3 was $55. I supplied the oil. I know I could have just changed myself, but I don't have a lift and had a quite a few errands to run that day.

Just my $.02
