Thats $16.98 per month - Its not going to break me! I'm not saying that you should fall for all the tricks, but if you can afford an extra $17.00 per month to get the car you want, when you want it - live a little. Just an opinion...

It won't break me, either, but it will pay for:
- 1-3+ days' admission fees to local Motocross parks
or
- a couple of meals @ Chuy's
or
- a lot of beer

I got the car I wanted, when I wanted, w/ no markup...I just had to fly to Louisiana to pick it up!

Hey they have 5 350z's at Southpoint now. There are also 7 350z's at Maxwell. That makes 12 in Austin now at dealerships. We might be able to negotiate off of MSRP now. If any one picks one up tell me how it went and whether you were able to get it below MSRP.

I doubt it, just because the next guy WILL pay MSRP for it.

I think there not going to sell like they have in the past. It is the first time there have been a great deal of 350z's on the lots. The demand isn't as high, since people who really wanted one and had the money ordered, already received it, or traveled somewhere to get. My friend in Chicago was able to work them off of MSRP, since they had about 8 on the lot.

Its a tough call. Naturally when supply goes up and demand stays the same or drops, price goes down. But is 8 to 12 cars a large supply? I dont know much about the car business, but it doesnt seem like THAT many. Alot of people may have waited until the hype dropped down. Either way - negotiate - it cant hurt.

~$100 - 1 way to Lafayette on Southwest wasn't at all expensive. Actually, I might have paid the same as the local markup since I'm adamantly opposed to the principle of paying them. For me, there's no car on the market that's not worth waiting to buy @ MSRP or less.

i got mine $285 under msrp at southpoint last saturday...

however that was only because the one they "ordered" for me came in wrong color, wrong options, and then the replacement one they shipped in for me after i flipped my lid had the side + curtain airbags installed in addition to the other options i ordered...

in the end we agreed to split the difference on the airbags, however after experiencing some of their ******** hard sales tactics over this issue and poor customer service, i will never buy from that dealership again, and my gf is going to buy a murano... guess what? southpoint, and in particular that salesman missed out on a sale / commission... haha
