Ya know they almost did away with the front plate law but it didn't pass the senate. I wonder if it will make it to law this year? The frame law is ridiculous, I think Texas and New Jersey are the ONLY freaking states with that stupid law.

I also didn't get a ticket for the limo tint and no front license plate.
I agree. Changing the frame plate was already on my schedule for the next mod. I definitely don't like to advertise, esp. SouthWest Infinit. Also, I prefer a black plate without any logo in lieu of the chrome dealership frame. Draws less attention to the plate and compliments the debadged look on my black 06' 6MT G coupe.

My wife works at a car dealership. She tells me that the law changed in Jan 06 in Texas to no longer require the front plate; however the frame can't obscure the name of the state.

Give 'em hell.

Is there a link or something official that states this? Not that I don't believe you, I don't plan to put a front plate on mine, I'm mostly curious..

I can see it, but a cop might confuse it with with the sate of Columbo. Sorry but the frame has got to go.
