Two Rows sounds good. What's the parking like? Would we be able to have a spot for 5-10 cars?

Parking should not be a problem there.
If we wanted to stop by the Ferrari dealership, would we need to do that earlier?
Isn't there a pretty nice kart track near the Ferrari dealership?
Or would anyone be interested in hitting the gun range before hand? I know I wouldn't mind trying out Track's toy, even if it is like $5 for 30secs of fun. (PS I know it's not a toy, but it sure is fun ) I could probably convince my good friend to bring out his AR-15, which is quite enjoyable in its own right.

I will remove the M203 grenade launcher and attach the foward grip for our meet.
I can also bring my Hk53, Hk51, Hk G-3K, Hk-MP5, Hk USC .45, Sigarms 551, Steyer AUG .223, about 23 pistols, and a various assortment of carbines, sub-carbines, submachine guns, and squad automatic belt-feds.
Okay, wait, all that won't fit in any of my cars.
Well, there is the menu, YOU choose.

Since this is short notice for this meet, how 'bout we keep it simple?
Let's say 4:30-5pm at Two Rows.
We'll eat there.
Afterwards, we can head over to DandB's.
How's that?
JD
PS
Track- I am definitely going to have to go to the range with you sometime.

4:30 is a bit early either lunch 1ish or dinner 7/8ish.
im pretty sure the houston s2ks are meeting up saturday night, too. i know them very well ... theyre a bunch of cool ppl that love to drive we should make one big gtg for dinner then go out to drive or whatever.
two rows is a fine, but is the parking lot big enough? ive never been there.

Moroccan,
I was thinking of meeting then so that we can hang out and chat for a while before we eat. I figured we wouldn't actually be eating until 6:30 or 7.
That would put us at DandB's around 8:30 or 9.
I am not sure about parking, I have never been there. Track seems to think there will be enough room. Anyone live nearby that could do a reconnaissance run?

ok how's this for definite plans?
5pm at two rows. (take pics with the sun still up, hang out, chat, etc)
go inside for dinner at 7pm.
afterwards we can drive around, goto d&b, whatever we happen to decide.
im also going to post on the g35/s2k boards to see if any of those guys are interested to come out ... the more people the better
vova, if you decide to drive down from austin ... youre more than welcome to stop by my place earlier in the day ... so you dont have to drive into houston so late. ill just be washing my car before the meet on saturday after i get off of work ~ 130ish.

Mo,
Thanks for the invite. I'm kicking it around right now. I've got a buddy coming to Austin tomorrow in his new Z and I want to check when he's heading back. I'll let you know something before EOB Friday.
Articfury,
Are you going as part of a convoy of any kind?
Anyone else from Austin wanna run a train to Houston. I assume it's going to be tough with Dynoday.

vova,
I am going down on my own. I am not sure yet if I am going to drive down Friday or Saturday.
If you think you want to drive down let me know. I might be willing to drive down at the same time.

The Rice Village area is very shady (trees, not hookers ).
I would suggest getting there at 4:30 if we want enough sunlight for some good pics.
There is plenty of parking around 2-Rows, but I don't know how crowded it will be on a Saturday at that time. Later that night it will be too crowded, but that won't effect us.
On the other hand, Rice University is just a few blocks away, and they have acres and acres of parking lots!
We might even find a nice grassy place to park and take pics of our z-cars on green grass.
I love to **** off the Earth First types of socialists that infest the area.
If anyone is coming-in on Friday, gimme a call and I'll take you to some cool night-spots around Houston. I'll call my handler tomorrow and see if we can't "borrow" a chopper so you can see a bird's eye view of downtown.
For you party types, the Gingerman is across the street from Two Rows (they have about 100 different beers on tap and another hundred in bottles).
Next door to the Gingerman a friend of mine owns a bar called "The Bronx."
On pretty nights, they have college girls in bikinis walking around handing out jello-shots.
Inside, there are leather sofas, love seats, coffetables, etc...
It's like lounging at home.
Outside are picknic tables and big wooden benches.
Right up the street (59 N) is a Cart track and a Ferrari dealership.
Between the track and Two Rows is a great Italian icecream joint called Dolce, Fredo, and Gellato (gee, I hope I spelled that right. )
They make all their frozen deserts (ice cream type stuff) themselves.
You can smell them all cooking when you walk in.
It's like a Baskin Robbins for the truly inspired and highly motivated.
If anyone is coming in on Friday, shoot me a PM.
I'll be gone in a little while (every Wed. we ride mountain bikes from 11 pm. til 8 am. at mad speeds over some crazy landscapes!).
I'll check my email when I get back around daylight.
(sooner, if someone has to go to the hospital...we usually don't have to stop for such things, as I carry duct tape to put people back together after wrecks...maybe we shouldn't carry flasks of overproof Jamaican rum and single malt scotch?)
Anyway, if you PM me after about 10pm, I will not get it until around sunrise, but I'll immediately return it or call you if ya leave a cell number.
Otherwise, I'll have to check my PM's and return calls when I get home (between 7 am and 9 am if no one dies or anything).
Then I'll nap until around noon and be good-to-go!
I apologize for my weird schedule, but I'll be checking emails for early arrivals each chance I get. If anyone needs me to find a motel for them, I can do that too, just let me know.
If you want my cell #, just PM me and I'll shoot it right out to ya.
It may be too cold, but does anyone here skyboard?

No way!
Crap! Crap! Crap!
Can't you come to hang out and just bring another car?
If you want, I could come get ya in my z-car, too.
I'm sorry to hear about your car, but I'm glad you were unhurt.
If ya want to still get together, if even for a little while, PM me and I'll give ya my cell phone # so you can keep in touch.
You should at least join us at Two Rows and the cart track!
Let me know what you decide, and keep me posted about word on your car.
Good luck with everything,
Scott

Moroccan,
Sorry to hear about your car.
I hope you can make it out to the meet.
VG,
You have the luxury have having people from 3 states coming.
Not to mention a month of lead time.
Don't worry Texas will have a very large Z meet in the near future, if I have my way.
Y'all have fun now, ya hear.

I just got back from my late-nite mountain bike ride.
Wow, it is cold out there!
Anyone who is coming in for the Houston meet PM me and let me know your schedule.
It only makes sense to me that we would meet around 4:30 on Saturday so we can have plenty of daylight. If anyone gets into town early, gimme a call on my cell phone.
If you don't have it yet, PM me.
Drive carefully and let's try to get together as early as possible to make best use of the light on Saturday.

Saturday 4:30 Two Rows
We can decide if we want to take a short drive to somewhere better to take photos
What to do the rest of the night we can decide once we are there.
