Default Good dealer experience in Austin

I posted this in the dealers section, but thought the other texas folk would want this as well.

First a prelude:

Went down to Town North (Maxwell) Nissan this morning to see about placing my order. There were 3 in the showroom and they all had a $1995 paint protection cost that was "negotiable". I asked if I could order one and was told "we stopped taking orders 8 months ago". Walked away without a shadow of doubt, but discouraged and was considering going with the g35 just so I didn't have to put up with this sh@#. Even though I knew this dealer had a bad rep., I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, too bad for them.

Now the good part:

I was set to go down to South Point after seeing a thread here about how people lately have been having good experiences there, but after talking with my girlfriend who will only get her Maxima (under warranty) serviced at Round Rock (Maxwell) Nissan, I decide to go up there despite being owned by the same people. She called ahead and talked to their internet sales person. We went up there and within 20 minutes or so, I had my order placed with a $500 refundable deposit. It was by far the easiest car buying experience and I was not expecting it at all. From the day I decided I wanted a 350, I thought I would have to go through the same painful dealer process I went through before and end up going outside of Austin to get what I want, right now all I can say is that I'm am more than happy. Hopefully I wil be able to say the same when it comes to taking delivery.

If you want a good person to deal with , talk to David Sides, 512.244.8500 at Round Rock Nissan, he is about customer service and will not add extra crap you don't need like the paint protection.

Aren't Round Rock and Austin two different places? How can you have a good Austin buying experiance when you are in Round Rock?

Funny vova! I personally didn't think anything in Round Rock is good, since I went to Westwood as a kid, but I was pleasantly surprised!

HAHAHA, dude, I wouldn't recommend that place to an enemy!

Read my original post: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=15486

I contacted Nissan corporate and informed them on how Maxwell Nissan conducts business. I was impressed by how fast Corporate contacted Maxwell. Two days later I received a call from Maxwell Nissan apologizing for the service I received. I'd like to think you benefited from my efforts
