how does the 3.3 vlsd differ from our current one? and how does it help?

 

The 3.3 final drive vlsd rear end out of an 5 speed auto has taller gearing than the 3.5 that comes in 6mt. The taller gearing means less wheel spin in 1 and 2 gears if you are boosted or nos. It will give you a higher top speed in each gear. If you have a base and are looking to get a vlsd this is an easy way to do it because it bolts up in the stock location. If you just wanted the vlsd then you could use the side flanges and the lsd and install them in your curent 3.5 rear end.
