Default Discount Tire In Houston That Won't Scratch Rims...

Got a nail stuck in my front tire. Bought the tires from Discount. The original store scratched my rim up and had to get it refinished. Anyone know of a good Discount tire store that has a good tech to fix my tire? I live on Southwest side but don't mind traveling if the service is good.

Thanks,
Val

damn that sucks bro. Hit me up if you need some help. There is a DT off westheimer where I get mine mounted and had no problems. They were real careful w/ mine.

I've been to the one off bellaire and I wouldn't recommend them. First time scratched my wheel with the slip of the impact gun. They refinished it but the second time I brought my other car over there to get new wheels mounted. They scratched all of them by the lug areas. Let me know of other DT that are more careful with mounting of wheels as well.

My thought of the day is, can you imagine the turnover in employees at any one of these shops? Yesterday was cool, but, today? Just a thought. Actual names might be even more helpful.

Go to American Wheel and Tire off Hempstead Hwy under 610. That is where all the Rockets, and celebs go to ($10k-$15k wheels). They use the plastic clips on the machine so it makes no marks. Talk to Jason he will take care of you.

That's where I bought my rims from. LOL! Jason sold them to me. They do a good job, but I bought the tires from DT, so the maintenance is free. But you're right, American W & T does do a good job. They did a clean install on my first set of tires. I ended up going to the DT over on 59 and Aldine Mail route. Those guys did a good job. I had an extremely slow leak in one tire that only dropped about 2 PSI per week. They dunked the wheel in a tub of water and let it sit for several minutes b4 finding the leak.
