Default Fixing my car

i just got into an accident and my whole front bumper, front suspension, radiator, fan, are gone. the side skirts and wheels and driver side is all scratched up. I have an 06 350z.

I am trying to decide where to get it fixed, the insurance is paying for it. i was gonna take it to the dealership but do you think i can have them order aftermarket bumper and sides and rear instead of the factory ones since they have to be fixed and repainted?

If anyone has any experience with something liek this let me know how it went! thanks

I would have them work up the estimate both ways and check with your insurance company to see if they will pay you in a check versus directly to the dealer. This way you can pay the dealer with the insurance check for a stock fixer upper and pay the difference for the aftermarket parts.

The only difference should be the price differential between stock and aftermarket. The Labor should be the same.

Dealerships don't care as long as they know they are getting paid.

Let us know how it goes.

oh and yeah and ins doesnt care what the car looks like afterward, they will pay for stock, if you can get AM parts for cheaper, do it. make sure there is no issues w/ your lienholder if you have one, alot of times they will make the check out to them as well to protect thier intrest in the vehicle, more props to you if you own it out right though....

hey man tell me how everthing go's. i have had alot of my cust get thier car fixed thier and it's the only shop that i really have heard any complaints, if something isnt right they fix it. my girl friend just got her car out of the shop from autmasters and the butt-stang looks good, she had like 6 coats of dirt on the car and they cleaned it all up, it looked real good.
