I was doing further research and basically says SW Houston is not the nicest, that true or negligent peoples opinion??

Stay completely away from the east side, Pasadena, Baytown, Gelena Park.

SW houston is great. Sugarland is a good place. Pearland is good too.

Like stated above. There is going to be traffic almost everywhere you stay. I'd suggest the same as the previous had posted but I highly recommend Sugarland. It was on the local news as one of the top 5 cities in the US to raise a family. South Katy is nice and Woodlands as well!

You'll get a pretty decent sized house for 200k. Depending on the area, probably around 1900 sq ft or so for that price.

Master J - I recommend the woodlands/ north spring area. Nice houses and the area is not too far away from town.

Plus The woodlands/spring area is on the far north side of houston. Southeast houston (clearlake, pasedena, etc.) is more prone to flooding.
