I've heard not so great things about overlays on the headlights however. If you search, you'll find out why... but in case you're too lazy, I'll tell you. Supposedly the overlays cause stress cracks all over the headlights and that doesn't look too pretty. That's why I want to spray paint mine. But I don't know how much my lighting will be affected by it nor do I know where to get the spray paint.

I have the Bat overlays on head & tail lights...they're good quality, but it was much harder than I expected to put them on without getting wrinkles or some other blemish - mine look okay...just don't get too close.

i wouldnt recommend the headlight overlays. After putting mine on i got tons of stress cracks, and the visibility at night is horrible, even with the oem HIDs. I have the overlays all over my car, and all the others held up great and look good too. But i would never put them on my headlights again. Now i need to buy a new pair

here is some pix i just took, excuse the hazyness.. the lense fogged up..

first one is with the headlight on, the other two are just driving lights. And BOTH headlights are this way.

Stress cracks are why I don't want overlays on my headlights.. I need to find the spray paint for headlights though so I can darken them.

yeah but the part that i think you are talking about... is Matte black... not black chrome... and there are still parts that are chrome and not black chrome... the ones that i refer to are like these:

i know that these are civic headlights... but this is the only representation of what i am talking about that i can find... these are the JDM headlights for a 2000 civic... absolutely badass IMO... i wish i could find a pair of housings like these for my Z in the '06 style...

if you notice... the "Lenses" of the headlight are still clear... not compromising any of the headlights function... however you still have the "blacked out" look...

Can you still see good at night with overlays on your headlights?

I'd rather not crack open my 600 dollar head lights or how much ever they cost.

I opened up my civic head lights to clear them out. They're fine now but just seeing glue on the edge makes it feel cheap to me. Now everyone is looking for oem civic head lights due to all the people modifying their head lights.

My headlights had stress cracks before we put the overlays on. But we love the it looks with the overlays, as long as you don't look too close......lol.

We got ours form bluebatmobile too.
