Default Dallas Shops: Update with experience

This thread is for your experience with shops, don't be rude in the thread, if you qualms against the shop state them as an adult. This will hopefully map out some good shops and experience in the area, as Dallas native of late I don't know many shops around.

MATCHLESS PERFORMANCE
(972)735-8249
3221 Skylane Dr Suite 110
Carrollton TX 75006

www.matchlessperformance.com

Experience: good guys; Lots of high-end cars like 05/06 Vipers, R33 Skyline GTR's, etc. ; never had anything done there, but their pricing seems fair.

Dallas Frame and Alignment

2514 Fabens Road
Dallas, TX 75229
Tel: 972-241-2361

The only place I get my Z aligned - they still do it the old fashioned way. Had one little mishap with a dinged rotor, but they made good on it.

Experience: German, in my opinion, is the best guy in the DFW area to work on Nissans. He does SR20 swaps daily, is very proficient in all types of repair, and builds great cars. Two thumbs up.

Default Tint Shop

Hey guys, I dont know if this would go in here or even if i'm allowed to post something like this here. But it kinda has to do with the topic. This is not about performance shops, but rather Window Tinting.

Anyone out there in the DFW area need their windows tinted?

reason i ask, is I have an 06GT 350z silverstone. Used to drive an S2000 and Civic Si, etc...... Like probably many of you other car enthusiats, I am very picky, like good clean work, good quality and good prices!?? right? Who else is with me!

Anyway, my point is I just opened up a Window Tinting shop in McKinney Texas with a friend of mine, I have had 5 years tinting exp, my tinter working for me has had 7 years exp, and my co owner has had somewhere around 3 maybe 4 yrs. We offer only lifetime warranty film, from LLumar, machine cut patterns from a plotting system and software for exact patterns everytime and every side. Quality, quality work. We just need to get our name out there and exposure for our company.
Also we are actually the tint company for the brand new Patt Lobb toyota Dealer in McKinney as well. If you need an referals about us ask Dan Garner the Parts/service director and Doug the service advisor.

You can visit our website at www.premierautotint.com
we have a small gallery right now, also i only have one pic of my car on it right now, but will have tons more later.

Please let me know what you guys think.

Jeremy

Matchless Performance - My experience

First of all, I count this as a positive experience, so when I do get into complaints don't think I'm trying to steer you away. I'm just honestly recounting what happened to me.

I brought my car in to have some TEIN BASICS installed along with a quick alignment. First, of all...they did a great job. Car looks awesome. They even did a fine job cutting down the lip so the tires don't rub in the rear. The only complaint I have is that when I set up the appointment on the phone I had them include an alignment in the estimate. When I got there I was told the shop that did alignments for them couldn't do 19" rims and that I probably wouldn't need to do an one anyway.

They did lower their price since we were no longer doing an alignment, but I knew better than to just assume the alignment would not be altered. A couple of days later I brought it to NTB and, as I suspected, the alignment was WAY off. If I had been new to this game, I might have ruined a good set of tires.

So, while a great shop I would have expected them to:

1) have a better idea of their capabilities before having me drive all the way out there from Downtown.
2) Insisted that I go somewhere and have the alignment at least checked since they couldn't do it.

Hey guys, for any of you who own homes, we are now trained and certified by LLumar and American Filter Films, the only LLumar film distributor here in Texas to do residential and commercial applications.
So, if you guys want to save money on your energy bills for next summer and every summer after that, please let me know.

Tinting your home will also protect your expensive flooring, and furniture from fading as well..

The film we use is not automotive film, LLumar has designed their own residential and commercial grades.

If you do your research you will find that most other companies in DFW are using their automotive films for residential and commercial, and that is not good, reason is b/c the type of adhesive, and film compound is different and this residential film we are offering does all the same stuff as our automotive, but is specifically made for residential and commercial glass applications.

Don Davis Nissan in Grapevine:

I have purchase quite a few Nismo parts through these guys so far and all of the prices have been great! Plus, the techs there really are interested in helping out. This is a stand up dealership if you feel like taking your car somewhere you can trust.

What Nismo parts did you buy from them?

I'm looking to get the 3 inch cat back Nismo for my 06 Grand Touring in Dec. wondering how much they are selling that for there at Don Davis, or if you bought yours there, for how much?

Call James in parts and tell him David told you to call. I'm sure he'll give you a good price.
