Wanna shoot for Hooter @ Westheimer/Gessner for the first meet? If we start tomorrow, we can make it the 1st friday in every month. Anyone like this idea?

I believe weekends would not have good turn outs. Lots of people have parties, clubbing, weddings, B-days...ect ect going on during the weekends. Week nights are optimal because most individuals won't have anything to do otherwise, not too mention there are not as many people out on the streets as there would be on a weekend.

 

ok guys....pick a day of the week....I get up at 5:30am during the week, so I'd really rather keep it during the weekend as Tuesday meets really kick my a$$ at work the next day....ya ya, I'm getting old. I knew that when I started knockin out a 9:30pm.

EDIT: just saw your post Val...if we do it during the week, I'd like to be home before midnight. lol. So if we do it during the week, lets make it early. Its close to my work, so I'd hate to sit in traffic to go home and come right back out. 6:30 or so????????

 

It's cool... I game for sometime during week. it's only once a month thing. the only reason i mention sunday afternoon is so that we can actually see each others cars. =)... how can i copy george when I can see it? lol

 

I personally like anything after 7pm. This allows any residual traffic to die down. A 2 or 3 hour meet sounds good. Most people don't like to hang around longer than 2hrs anyway, especially if it's winter.

During the week sounds good. But like Old School said. I'd hate to Go home to Spring just to turn back around. Plus I'm old my self. Wake up at 5am. Something that far would kill me the next day. But if I get out voted, then I'm down for whatever.

 

i have school weeknights and dont get out till 9ish or later. but its all good i can still try to make it out.

 

I'm still kinda leaning toward fridays....if I start drinkin some beer at hooters on fridays after work....I'll hang out for awhile....happy hour turns into happy night. lol. If most of you guys work DT, MT or the SW side, then I think we'll get a better turn out if we do something right after work. Plus, everytime I go to a happy hour with some females....by the time I'm ready to go home, there's no more traffic. Please list the side of town you work on.

You guys live all over, but I'm willing to bet we all work in similar areas.

Guys, I'm trying to make it easy for everyone to make it out...just keep in mind that I can't make everyone happy. Alot of us have different schedules and the young bucks have school (do your homework - haha). So having said that, don't get your panties in a bunch if you can't make it out to whatever day we set. There's always room for change.

If you guys want, we can try and get a few of us together after work today to see how it all works out. This won't be the offical meet, just a mock. I'll be there around 5:30ish and I'll stay for a good 4 hours if any of you are willing. Keep posting those work locations so we can see how many are close. Nothing like eating wings, drinkin beer, looking at cars, and grabbing some a$$!!! Gotta love the orange shorts! lol

+2 on the Westheimer/Gesner Hooters; last couple times I went there, it's been pretty dead and there's plenty of parking out back. Let's get this thing rolling! Don't think I can make the mock meet tonight, though.
