Oil change Dallas area
Where should i get my oil changed, I've always done it on all of my previous cars. But on the z i have no interest in removing that plastic thing under the engine. I can go to the plano dallas richardson area. What do you guys suggest?

u dont have to remove the whole plastic piece, just a little piece of it, which btw only take 2 mins, if that! only problem will be reaching the filter from that little opening. I take mine to SEARS, and watch them do it, since im the manager at the location.

yeah there is a little "door" of sorts underneath for the drain plug, but i'd remove the plastic for the oil filter to prevent oil from dripping onto and collecting on the plastic piece, i think i read on the forums where some members cut part of the plastic for removal and drainage of the oil filter

if thats all i have to do, I'll just do it myself. The z takes 5 quarts right? This will be my first oil change on the z. Also my z has been running regular old dino oil for the last 40k, would it be safe to switch to synthetic or should i stick with the dino?

mine also has the little hole for the oil plug. i drained it many time using this little hole and also without looking at the plastic piece for spills... i took it off once to find it rather clean too. i thought that there would be a lot of old dry oil and dirt on it but threre wasn't so don't sweat it... unless you're just the messy type... i wouldn't even bother removing the plastic piece... excessive wear on the plastic parts...

my brother in-law is a mechanic at bankston nissan, and he puts in 4.25 or 4.5, i'd put 4.5 just to be safe and save the rest for topping off the oil if its ever low or save for the next change, switch to synthetic, mobil1 makes this extended performance synthetic that lasts for 15k miles that only costs a few bucks more for a 5 quart jug, i leave mine in for about 7-8k, and i think i read somewhere that nissan filters aren't made for synthetic oils, i use the mobil1 filter too but there are plenty others you could choose from, but stick with mobil1 synthetic

def switch to synthetic oil ASAP, and yes nissan factory filters werent made specifically for synthetic oils so id recommend changing that too. and mobil1 is the way to go

I take my car to the Kwik Kar just south of Spring Creek on Preston in Plano. There is a Car Wash, a QT gas station, 7-11, and a hotel or something across the street.
There is a really hot girl that works there, i mean really really hot...actually there are two, but one of them is really really hot...i think she is married though...but that just makes her hotter. Hottie McHotterton is her name i think, and if it isn't...it should be.
