If your clutch was indeed slipping, you'd have gotten a much worse time.

Your 60' is 2.7, which is horrible to say the least. Most likely, you just dumped the clutch, shocking the whole drivetrain and also giving yourself tons and tons of wheelspin. You also probably did not let go, and kept on the throttle, resulting in the 2.7 60' as shown above.

Again, I'm pretty sure that your clutch isn't the problem as the rest of your times and traps show relatively healthy numbers. However, your shifts also require much improvement. If you watch the video, you can hear a rather noticeable pause between your upshifts, which equates to slow shifts.

Make sure to feather your clutch when launching and work on speeding up your shifts. I know I'm probably being too critical, but I'm only trying to help.

Thanks for the advise. And No, you're not being too critical - how's one to learn.

I'll work on those issues, and I appreciate all of you guys help and advise.

You just glazed over the clutch. With some normal driving it will be fine if it is not already. If you burnt your clutch then go on the highway and down shift from 6th to 4th at 75mph and floor it - a burn clutch will slip the rpms before catching the gear. So engine will rev and the car will not react. From what you have said you just glazed it over from the drag racing. Should be fine.

Hey, I just did that, and no slippage or smell. Got on 225 here in Pasadena, headed east. Got to 75, shifted to 4th and stomped it....

Thanks - I really feel better now.

later I'll see about the after market clutch.

yeah...i could feel a vibration in the clutch pedal when engaged, along with a moaning-type noise/tapping. no slipping whatsoever though. it was more annoying than anything but obviously a problem...

I think the clutch is ok, that's why I can't wait to get back to the track and see if I can improve my times & shift_ing ;-)

Ok thanks for the reply. I'll pay close attention, but I haven't noticed anything annoying, or stuff like you describe.
