jesse,

you read my mind. i came up here with the intent to post this. i guess it'll just be me and you. Rob, c'mon dude. not to exhibit peer pressure, but you can be a little late cant ya? we're leaving southpoint at 5:45 so we should get there by 7 or so. we can have you back by 10ish, no doubt. think about it. you can come up here and brag about how you smoked your little brother, the G35 coupe

Unfortunately even if I could, I shouldn't. I am still getting over something, and I am on antibiotics. I can tell that my perception is impaired when driving the Z, so have been driving around real slow, and trying to pay excessive attention to my surroundings.

Bleh, I really do want to go. I'll definitely be down the next time you go. Are Wednesday's not very packed? lots of chances to run?

damn, I really wish I could go, would love to see how my RWD car dragging skills match up with my motorcycle launching skills (I am not to modest to say I am the master!) Not feeling spaced out today, but I missed work on Monday, and don't get paid for time off. Sucks being a contractor.

ill be the first to reply, since i left early while devious and antz were still in line for their 3rd runs. damn tired and have a long day tomorrow. let it be known that i dont think i have ever launched a stick with the intentions on actually going fast. burnouts, sure. quick 60' time, you gotta be kidding. so i line up for the first hit. damn i cant keep the tach from going way over 2000 and the tree is counting down. i launch........spin like hell, wheel hop like hell. but no missed shifts get my *** handed to me by a beat up 1st gen rx-7 that ran a 11.xx@ 120. 1st run........14.8 @ 97.
ok, im cool. i go back to the parking lot and try to figure where the throttle should be for 2 grand. these drive-by-wire cars are a b!tch. line up again. this time im bracket racing. i dial in a 14.5. i broke out. ran a 14.4 at the same trap. thats better. next run was a couple of hundredths slower (actually closer to 14.5) it was getting late so i needed to bounce so i only got 3 runs in. the other 2 Z guys were having trouble launching, but on of them did get a 14.3 @ 98 or so.
all in all, the night was a success. there is a guy @ englishtown that ran a 14.1 in his Gc, so of course i was hoping for that. maybe better. i will be back though.........

thats a pretty stinking good 60' time. the best i could get was 2.29. i really need to work on my launch. i have no doubt that devious will come back with that 13 sec ET that he was in search of.
