Default any 350z's want to race a prelude (dallas)

My car is back to n/a, it used to be supercharged and will be again shortly. So I wanted to see if anyone is up for a friendly race before i put the charger back on. I've been declined by about 4 350s now and the only one i ran was on the highway from 80-120 and i pulled him about 2 cars in 4th gear oh well he gave me a thumbs up but turned at the next light before i could ask him to go again.

my mods are:
JDM H22
CAI, header, testpipe, exhaust, vafc

i'm in plano off tollway, i'll try to check this thread or pm me. email is integralsguy@yahoo.com and aim is goosterini

Um...... a lude with just bolt ons pulled on a Z in the top end???

You must have the magic Honda because with the mods you have that may make your car a high 14 sec car. If you come to Austin ever I would be happy to run you!

I traded in my 2001 Prelude for my 2003 Performance 350Z.
Really liked the Prelude besides going through oil almost as much as gas and Honda telling me that it was within normal numbers...

Let's just say that the fun of a rwd is hard to match by a fwd!

Come on down to Houston. I will race you. I have raced a couple Preludes and if you beat a 350z in a your Preludes at any speed and rpm, well that is quite impressive and I would like to be your next 350z victim (can you smell the sarcasm).

Why do you waste everyone's time? It's apparent there is something you are not telling, by your posts, and you're all giddy about it. So what is it, bolt ons on a built motor? swapped motor?

Look at his list again...

It says JDM H22a. JDM being Japan Domestic Market. Meaning he no longer has a USDM motor in his car. The JDM H22a is a higher compression ratio and typically makes a decent amount more power than the USDM H22a.

With his setup it is a mid to low 14 second car.

thanks for actually reading my post! the jdm is a 10.6:1 vs the us 10:1 compression, it dynos about 10whp and tq more than a us motor but performs really well. quite a few 4th gen jdm h22s have run 13.7-14.2 in their bolt on jdm h22, i'm in a heavier 5th gen so like he said above, low to mid 14s with a good top end.

i raced my friends maxima with cai, pulley, ssr rims and i was at his back bumper. he also ran 14.1@98 with cai and rims

There is a meet on Saturday, look for the post about the DNE meet. If you show, I will run, as will maybe some Maxima's.

Question - What type of racing are you talking about? I assume drag? The Z will out race you in distance and in handling!

Opinion - Its pretty sad that you have to go to a forum to get your rice [uh-um] I mean race on. Maybe you should join some kind of race school or club.

a lot of talk but that figures since you live in austin and im in dallas. ya know what, i'll be down there pretty soon, you want to race then?? my mom lives there and my bro goes to ut austin so i might be there may 9th weekend

and yes drag race, racing to test handling on the street is plain stupid. drag racing is mildly stupid if controlled.

the only reason i came to the forum was because its nice to setup a private run with someone. also figures that if they're on the board they should know how to drive their car decently. so far the random street encounters i've had have shown the z to be dissapointing but you can say that about any car on the street. Its the driver that counts.
