Just use soap and water for the parts getting the "tints" and lay the overlays on top. Make sure to get the air bubbles out and let it dry. I'm pretty sure that's it.

If that's not it, then there's also a DIY here in the forums. Search is your friend.

+1 soapy water.....you can slide the overlay to any position on the light and it won't stick on there permanantly until the water evaporates.

I know that sounds bad, but if you never put them on before, you may ruin them.

Just a thought.

Guess what, I did mess up one of the headlights, and quit after that. It didnt really fit right, like the cut was off center. Where can I find a 3m installer, that can just put their own on there?

Let me find out if the 3M Insaller that put mine on knows of anyone that does work in Dallas for any dealerships and etc.

I know how you must feel about messing up, I have a friend that messed up his first overlays for his G35.

ehh... you didn't need them anyway... my best recollection of overlays was that they gave your headlights stress cracks...

who wants that?

if it wasn't born there then it probably doesn't belong...

Im almost glad that they didnt work out on the front, I got them on with no messups or air bubbles, but I guess the dish wash soap I used wasnt right for them, cus they had a red tint. Anyway. They werent dark enough for me(35%) I want like 15. The rears should be fine though, There already red. Im gonna do the rears tomorrow after I wash her, and see how they look. Or maybe wait, and see if your guy knows anyone. I couldnt find anyone here.

Good point, however, anything man made will eventually brake.
