Default Clear bra in Dallas - $700?

Did some significant searching of the forum and found 5 different clear bra installers recommended in the DFW area. Got quotes from all of them, basically around $700 on ave. to cover bumper, 24" of hood, fenders, and mirrors.

Best deal was $670 from a 3M certified installer, 5yr warranty. Still seems high to me. Anyone get any better pricing for a quality job?

jeez at that price you're better off repainting the front every 3-4 years.

Wow, I didn't realize they charged so much for it. Like JDMFairladyZ33 said, just get it repainted, hahaha.

Wow! That is a lot of $. IMO- Take that $700+ and spend it on something else nice for your ride.

They want $800 here in Lubbock. Hardly sounds worth it to me!

and though clear bras do save your front from some scratches/chips, they do not stop all chips and scratches. Once the film gets cut, it looks like crap. I had a clear bra on a previous car and from far away it was cool. Up close, it doesn't shine as well and, like I said, once a rock cuts the film...it's all done. Hardly worth it, IMHO. It's chaper to have your front end repainted ever 2 years than the clear bra. A clear bra would be good on the roof, aftermarket eyelids, splash guards, or deck lid, but for the bumper...it sucks ***.

Anybody get a good deal in the Dallas area?

Want to make sure I get all my options on the table before deciding to get the clear bra or just skip it...

Seems high. I checked Xpel's website and called a few installers on their site and was quoted $550 by both. This included the bumper, fenders, mirrors and partial hood.

I had the clear bra installed last year by XPEL (3M) for around $700. But this included the hood, bumper, fenders, mirrors, door edges, and the most important location - headlights. If damaged, the headlights on my '06 will cost over $1K to replace. Trust me, the clear bra is a worthwhile investment & will provide you peace of mind, especially if your Z is a daily driver.

my 05 came with a clear bra on it already, my retard self peeled it off because i thought it was just a sticker.. : /
Wont the clear bra increase the risk of having stress cracks of the headlights? i read somewhere that a member put on the black tint strips for the headlights and it gave him tons of tiny cracks only visible at night when the heald lights are on.

I've gotten quotes from 4 out of 6 installers listed on the XPEL site in my area. Ranged from $680 to $850 for bumper, partial hood, fenders, mirrors.

Maybe it's just cheaper in other areas??

i know that guy that owns BSR i can call on monday and find out more about it... ive seen samples of the stuff before at his shop and its really cool... shouldnt effect the appearance of color or anything like that. His shop is located in lake side park in mooresville NC, anybody that knows about nascar knows that 90 % of the race shops are located in mooresville... i remember him telling me alot of the daytona prototype teams and the touring teams use it. it looks like it would be a really cool product to have...

anyone live in the Charlotte or Mooresville NC area?
