Who on here has one?

I keep on seeing them... Tuesday night one was parked in a lot off 6th and West where I was parking, and this morning I passed one on North Lamar close to the Yellow Rose.

Very nice. I'm really impressed with that color, and perhaps if I'd seen one in the flesh before I ordered mine sight unseen last year, then perhaps I might have gone for that instead of the Silverstone.

 

I have a DB Track. Up near dell in Round Rock.

 

I have a DB usually on 35 and 183. Live in Northwest Austin.

 

I've had one since Dec. mostly on 183 and mopac. Dmazyn was that you who pulled up and said hi in your DB track at taco bell awhile ago?

A friend of mine lives there and theres one in his complex.
He is Anthony with the 2003 Maxima.
I took my Z up there when I first got it about 2 months ago and drove by the DB Track but didn't see anybody near it.

 

There's a DB Touring or Performance Z here in West Campus near 22nd Street. I have a Chrome Silver Enth., but I wish I could have gotten a DB Enth. model instead!

I saw a DB going into a car wash at Parmer and Mcneil...or was it by Cool River...on Friday night. I wanted to stop to see if it was anyone I know, but the girl that was with me didn't want me to stop

 

Rob, it sounds like she needs some zeducation!

I'm lucky enough to have a girlfriend whose dad is on his third Z, and that's a 280Z that he's had since 1982. So she doesn't think it's weird when someone in a 300 pulls up next to you and gives you smiles and thumbs up, as happened over the weekend.

The only other 350 I saw over the weekend was a Chrome Silver that was in the same parking garage as me on Saturday night on 5th St.

We need to have a secret Austin signal for when we see fellow forumites.

 

Yeah, she's not my girlfriend, just a friend I hang out with...whom lives with the girl I am interested in...who is incidentally, in Estonia visiting family right now. That girl, would definitely be down, she loves the Z.

I have a DB track too, but its out of commision because some idiot backed into my right front bumper in Houston on Friday. I almost killed the guy because he was trying to say i ran into him, when he clearly put his vehicle in reverse and backed into my completely stopped car. I'm taking it to the shop today.

Thanks Rudedog, I haven't see you at any of the meets. Didn't you say you just moved from houston? Have you broken it in yet? I remember it was brand new. Sorry about the accident, that sucks man.

lol, that friend was doing the female wingman thing for me Saturday night. If things go well with this girl when she gets back from her trip to Estonia I'm not gonna need a wingman Wait until you guys see this girl, she's unreal. If you've seen Super Troopers, think the German girl in the Porsche, a lot like that in the face, accent, body, if not better in some respects. I'm not talking "my friends say I look like Janet Jackson" girl from Friday, but you'll see

He's a bit full of it sometimes, but he says you gave him a ride once, right before I got mine.
He was all "I rode in a Z, nyah nyah."
And I go, "Yeah, me too," and then drove to Austin in it

He also said you had some of the typical 350 tranny problems. If that's true, did you get it all straightened out?


On a side note, I may be going to Austin for the weekend in a couple of weeks, do you guys have any (un)official meets on weekends? I saw that you were trying to schedule something for a Thursday, but that's out for me...unless I use vacation days...Mmmmm, vacation...Actually I might get the Friday before Memorial Day off as well so I could be there that Thursday night...

Yeah, I keep trying to make it out to one of the meets, but i'm either out of town if its on a weekend or working late if its on a weekday. I'll try to make the meet next Thursday. My car should be out of the bodyshop tomorrow or Fri hopefully if all the parts are in today. $2500 of damage for a Suburban backing into me at 5mph!!

I saw a DB yesterday turning down 360 from 183 around 8pm. I also saw another this morning going north on 183 past Oak Knoll around 8:50am.

Yeah, I took him for ride at a happy hour at the apt complex.

I have had, and am still having tranny problems. The second tranny is going down the tubes. This one didn't sound right from the beginning. It's just taken this long to get to a point where I can convince the dealership to agree with me. Between this and the other 8 things I currently have on file with NNA, I might not have my car for long. We'll have to see what NNA does.

We should have a weekend drive again soon. I vote for June, for selfish reasons. I am working or out of town every weekend until then. Hopefully, I will be able to be at the meet next Thursday. *crosses fingers*

Did you just have the tranny replaced at South Point a couple of weeks ago?

Pretty sure I saw it, DB, they claimed the first in Austin to get a tranny replacement.

 

Ahh yes...the infamous Mansions happy hours...heh heh...I wish I could have experienced a few more of those
