As long as you don't have a code, they probably won't notice anyhow. I wouldn't worry about it. But just in case...where do you live, i'm pretty familliar with Texas but i have no idea where "Driver's Seaat" is. I think you have to get it inspected in the county that you have the car registered...so if you are in dallas you can't get a collin inspection. I could be wrong, but i know a few guys that have no idea what a cat looks like, if that makes sense. Let me know.

I know some guys up at kwik kar on Eldorado...they really don't care as long as the computer doesn't see any problems but there is a place in Prosper that litterally has no idea what cats are, took my heads and cam firebird in there, longtubes, no cats and dumps before the axel....they said. "It smells like there are lots of emissions but there are none, it's weird."

Carrollton...hmmmm.....I'm pretty sure that is Dallas county, i will have to ask around.

 

I don't think you have to have a vehicle inspected in the county you live, just register in the county you live.

State law just specifies having an inspection at a State-certified inspection station. Doesn't say anything about requiring it to be in the county you live.

§ 548.005. INSPECTION ONLY BY STATE-CERTIFIED AND
SUPERVISED INSPECTION STATION. A compulsory inspection under this
chapter may be made only by an inspection station, except that the
department may:
(1) permit inspection to be made by an inspector under
terms and conditions the department prescribes; and
(2) authorize the acceptance in this state of a
certificate of inspection and approval issued in another state
having a similar inspection law.

Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, § 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1995.

 

Also Carrollton is actually in three counties, Dallas, Denton, and Collin county.

 

they rarely do visual checks, especially on newer cars like ours. as long as you arent throwing a code, you should be golden.

 

I do female body insepctions. free of charge if you got a set of Ds and go commando often.
