can anyone suggest a good camping location near dallas

Lake Texoma! Well, its still kind of high right now due to summer rains, but there are some areas open. That, and its right where I live .

Tyler state park is really nice too. Pine trees and a small lake.

Im not sure but I think I went Texoma and getting INTO the camping area was like going through a crazy *** jungle lol. I will look into the tyler state park thanks guys. Oh yea do I have to make reservations or is it first come first serve?

I have stayed at lake texoma before and i loved it. It is where i learned to water ski

i want to go to turner falls and go camping i heard it is very nice

I just went camping with 15 people down at Caney Cover near Gun Barrel City. It was a blast!

Little drive from Dallas but cool back roads----Guadalupe State Park---Not crowded, Primative sites, Good swimming, 1000s of acres, Rv Sites ----But main thing, Private.

Also ---damn, far too, But Lost Maples SP
