Yeah DrRick, I was ready to comment on that pic. Not your fault about the parking though, we got a bit messed up parking further further over the line. I don't know if you saw us all, but we were watching in fear for your car from the tables!

We were talking about the mods thing, and you're so right. I know for me at least, and the others seemed to say the same thing, it's hard to justify spending money on mods on a car right now. The economy in general is still so up in the air, especially in Austin, to more of a point, the job market and job security. I would love to do exhaust and wheels, but it's going to take a new stable job or for my company to turn around for that to happen. We'll get to the mods soon enough I'm sure though.

As for the S2k, it really is a motorcycle on 4 wheels. That's all Chris could say when he got it back when I was still riding. I love his car, if you all don't know it yet, I have an affinity for yellow cars, his is beautiful.

As for Al moving your car. He moved it alright. He said something about breaking his old record of 23 donuts in a row, pretty impressive!

Hey Doc,

In fact, Derek volunteered to move your car while I was busy getting my car in position. So I have to pass on the credit to him, including the "23 donuts in a row" that Rob referred to. I also like the G35C, thanks for showing. For similar amount of money, your G35C has more luxury than my Touring.

Hey Rob,

Forgot to mention it earlier, thanks for arranging the meet. Too bad, it was a little too short (I got out of work as soon as I could though).

I was going to post the pictures I took, but everything else's pictures are similar to mine.

Rudy's is a great location for me and if the manager ropes of an area, it would be perfect for future meets.

I'll post one pic that I thought was cool. I can host the rest if any one wants to see them.

Very nice picture - and a unique catch of the reflection.

Post everyting you have - why not?

Those donuts were really something to see. I always thought they required a 19,000 RPM Formula 1 engine, but I guess not.

Also, just an observation here... there seems to be a serious problem with Z drivers being able to back up there cars... not a one of you was able to do it and everyone required a lot of help from Rob & I just to back up a few feet. You might be concentrating so much on forward acceleration that you've forgotten how to go backwards.

Strangely, the G35 drivers went backwards as easily as they went forward. Not sure how to interpret that...

I know where my backing up prowess comes from. Growing up with a dad owning a boat store I have had to back up tons of vehicles towing boats. Backing up a trailer is infinitely more difficult so you get pretty good at it. But then you're used to backing up a boat also, just not on a trailer...with that Cobra! haha

Yes, I tow my jet ski with it. It's great, unless the water on the dock is low.

Hey, everybody, just got back to Conroe...
Wanted to say I had a blast meeting everyone and talking shop.
Definitely let me know when the next meet is and I'll try and make it too.
And if anyone's ever in the Houston area on the weekend there's an informal car hang out where some 350s and 300s meet up on just about every Saturday.

PS - This was almost twice the turn out of the Houston meet from a month ago.

Nice meeting you too Will. I'll probably be in The Woodlands sometime in the next couple of weeks, as my parents want me to come get what stuff I want since they are moving to Virginia and selling their house. I'll have to give you a shout about that Saturday night thing.
