Cool New track in Austin, Tx

Yes Austin,
There's a new road track for the public. If you go to yahoo maps and put on the satellite mode and just off 183 and Delwau Ln. You can only see it in satellite mode. It a 2.5 mile track and might be ready as soon as next month. I myself talk to one of the guys who is building it and he said it would have been ready if the weather so crapping the last week or so. Last week they a lambo club from Dallas come down and test parts of the track. The track can handle 200 mph

In Satelite mode you can't see the Road Course yet. All you can see is their shifter-cart track that Spokes sometimes gets to Auto X on. The maps haven't been updated yet showing the new Road Course portion. I can wait until its finished!

Didn't know about that one. I know there is a new one that is about to be finished called Harris Hill in San Marcos.

The track OP is talking about is called "The Driveway." It's actually a kart track, not a road course. I have driven there several times during autocross events hosted by Spokes, the local Austin autocross club. There's talk about enlarging the track but it's not really built for a road course.

However, there's a "real" road course opening up in San Marcos soon. It's called the Harris Hill Road (H2R). It is a private road course, which means you must buy a membership to be able to use the track. I will post some more information here as soon as I get a tour of the track and possibly get a lap or two on the course.
