Space Center Houston Z Car/Nissan Event 6/14
The Z Club of Houston and NissanUSA is hosting a live rock concert at Space Center Houston on Saturday, 6/14. I believe the event starts between 9 and 10 AM and will be in the parking lot of Space Center Houston at NASA-JSC. Bring your 350 and display it with all sorts of Z's as well as other Nissan and Datsun vehicles in a secure area. Prizes and discount admission to Space Center Houston.

Should be a very cool event - I understand you'll even be able to take a picture of your Z next to the T-38 jet trainer at the entrance to Space Center Houston!

This event started out fairly low-key, but has developed a life of it's own !!! IT'S OUT OF CONTROL (well...maybe not).
We need to let everybody know that this is a public event.
It's not just for Z People. There is special parking for the Z Cars, so that we can oggle them appropriately; but this is for EVERYBODY.
The cool part is...if you drive a Datsun/Nissan Product of ANY kind (even your Quest Mini-Van), your parking is FREE (regularly $4) !
Basically, you're getting a car show and a concert for FREE !
Deeply discounted tickets to Space Center Houston are available to Z Car drivers (and their guest/family) at our club booth - NISSAN CENTRAL.
...at the very worst, you can drive your Corvette in and see a great display (complete with vendors) and a great concert for four bucks !

I'm a Kansas Z owner coming down Wednesday (6/18) to see my NASA employed in-laws in Clear Lake. Was checking to see if there was anything up "Z-wise" for next weekend. Looks like I'm a day late and a dollar short! Damn, damn, damn!

Oh Man! I'm so sorry that you missed us (especially so close).
We're still recovering from our event last weekend, so, unfortunately nothing's happening this weekend.
Be sure to go to our webpage (www.zcar.org) to check out pictures of the event. For some strange reason attendance was waaaay down at NASA and at our event. Our club attendance was great. We're thinking it was a combination of scary weather (it rained all night before and then started raining as they were taking the stage down...WHEW!), and the fact that it was Father's Day.
Both Nissan and NASA have already started talking about "next year", so apparently, they were pretty happy with the way things went.
We had an average of about 35 Z's there, with some coming and going. By day's end, I would say that we probably had 60-70 Z's show up.
The bands absolutely ROCKED !!! The first band was really good, and they just kept getting better with each band !
All in all, for a first event of it's type, we were extremely pleased with the way things went. Thanks to all the guys (and gals) that came in for the event, especially to the San Antonio and Dallas Z Clubs. One fellow even drove in all the way from Del Rio (look on a Texas Map) !
