Everyone knows you come to Dallas to make money, buy a huge house for decent money, and travel everywhere else.

You can have that anywhere in Texas. Dallas just doesn't have much to do otherwise.

Instead of complaining about no meet, no car events, no car culture....why not try to examine why this is and in turn put forth effort to make the scene better.

Be a positive influence, work with local businesses, maintain a good attitude, be a role model, etc... Be a leader and not a follower.

Boring, true but Big houses, cheap gas but you have to drive far to get anywhere.

The Good though
The roads are much better

The bad
They are too strait.

+1, you think the city is suppose to come to you? you need to venture out of the suburbs and actually go to the lower greenville, downtown, and knox henderson areas. you're missing out on so much. there are some really cool places to hang out and have fun. get bored of dallas then try out downtown ft. worth, its blast there. you just seem to need some direction.

a little late on the topic here i know (havent surfed here in a few days) but there is a TON to do in Dallas Kristy. Just gotta know where to find it.

Lower GV, and the uptown area has a lot going on. Addison is almost always busy. Hell one of my roommates goes up to Denton every night to the bars on the square to hang out. (Always busy around there during school months) So you just have to go out and find your thing.

Dallas is a business Mecca. Thats what this city does. We work hard as hell, then you kick back and relax with some food and a drink. Always a party going on someplace in this city as well it just depends on who you know for most of them. Dallas can be a "click" town at times.
