just curious whos it is
A stock Nismo Z isn't much slower than a Z with a couple of bolt-ons and that's only in a straight line. In fact, most Zs are all about the same in terms of straight line acceleration. Start turning and the Nismo Z will more than make up whatever it lacks in a straight line and then some.

Well, you mentioned Travis's Z, which only has a few bolt-ons, none of which will allow it to compete with the Nismo Z on turns. So, I assumed, well-modded meant a few bolt-ons. But yes, if you start doing suspension mods and power mods to get up to the price range of a Nismo Z, the modded Z will beat it.

I know it would only be a matter of time before a Nismo owner would chime in.
Yea fall back on that driver line. jk
I would love to run you at Ennis or TMS park
I think the piont was not to get into a who is better but to show that a capable Z could be made for thousands less than buying a Nismo.
ok here.
2007 nismo z-meah
meah suspension gai wheels is that a body kit?
2007 regular base model blah blah blah
add sways
add coilovers
add 350evo nismo lsd/3.9fd
add full lip kit and some sticky tires.
That nismo will get its *** handed to it. Assuming both drivers are equal, and this is on a road course. Sorry im not a drag racer. Hell throw some r compounds and sways on the z and it will do damn well. And the 3.9fd isnt necessary but it would make up for the extra bs power the nismo has.

As far as being on the track, all Z's are similar. It's all about the launch and last time I checked, nobody was consistent enough to pull consistent 2.0's or lower.
Driver's skills > what little power mods or suspension mods or weight differences each car has (Nismo, base, touring, modded, non-modded, etc).

1st part was road course, 2nd part was drag strip, then 3rd was for both. Sorry for not making that clear.
Either way, just because you mod, it doesn't mean it's better than a car that was designed by corporate engineers. And regardless of what track, driver's skills are more important than modding your car.

Nissan put some mods together to sell a dieing design not make a track monster. I think that it does have some good things like the extra welds. I can run on the track and tune my mods to improve my times. With the nismo you are stuck with a mass produced Soft track car. Enjoy.
A track has corners - strip is a straight line.
