Sorry but I take pictures as well like you do and my monitor is just fine. Your pictures are the only ones that are always dark. Maybe your monitor needs to be calibrated.

Pic's look really good to me, and not too dark at all. I can tell that on the first pic the border looks to have a little darker shade to it thats feathered in, but I assume if I am actually seeing that correctly, and not suffering massive coffee withdrawl right now then it would be a photo editing program that did it maybe? Who knows. I am not the expert, but I can tell ya I like da pic's!
