Default Any Intrest in Austin Meet this Thurasday?

It's been awhile since the last Rob meet and was wondering if anyone wanted to meet this thursday July 24th.

I'm up for suggestions for a place to meet. We did cheeders the last time I was able to make it, but something more central would be cool. Maybe Dave and Busters?

Let me know and I will get some tables reserved.

Where did you get your work done on your audio? Xtreme, Alpha, Custom, or did you do it yourself? That box looks nice.

Sorry m8, it's a little too short notice for me, as I just booked a 4.30pm tee time this morning for Thursday.

I'm definitely up for a meet though, the last one that I attended at Rudy's was a lot of fun.

As I recall the manager of Rudy's also said if we give him notice then he'll rope off part of the parking lot for us in the future.

I am up for another meet.

It has been a while. We used to get a pretty good turn out. I think people are not on the forums as much as when we had just gotten our cars.

How bout we start a new thread that has info regarding a meet this week and specifies a day?

I have had only 2 responses, so I don't think it's going to happen.

Well **** hey, I for one would like to see chazzg's car sometime, so let's try and set something up again.

I don't know if Rob's around, but he's our unofficial organizer.

One thing that might be cool would be if we set up an Austin mailing list so that people like me, who don't necessarily check the forum every day could get wind of a meet.

Just throwing some ideas out there.

I don't know if it's just that I've been busy doing other things, or if it was the forums having problems a while back, general burnout on Z stuff, or a combination of some or all of those. I hadn't come to the board in almost a month...doesn't seem that I missed to much. I think everyone is in a slump too, what happened? is something in the air? hah

I'll try and get some interest in something going as soon as I get out of this rut.

It's all Rob's fault! Blame it on him!

Seriously though, Rob did you get your car fixed yet?

ChazzG, hope you can make it to our next meet. I, for one, would love to see those mods you've put on.

Yeah, been fixed for a long time now. Got it fixed like a day after seeing a board member on Mopac in fact. Was funny, I forgot his name, but we met at Rudy's. He pulled up next to me, looked over, kind of looked surprised when he realized it as me, then slowed down to look and make sure by looking at my rear bumper, hah. He had the superblack with the ultra short antenna...remember the car, forgot the name. It turned out perfect.

Curious if you're gonna have a get together or not.
My Wife is in Austin, on business, as we speak. That gives me an opportunity to take out the Z (along with my 4yr. old daughter) and head that way. Leaving in a couple of hours, so if anything's happening, would appreciate a place (with directions) and a time.
I'll be staying at the Marriot in downtown.
Thanks,
zcardave

I guess no dice for today. I would have been really late anyway; I had to take the car to the shop today and couldn't pick it up until 6.

I have offered to set up a mailing list for Austin or TX before. My website space comes with one mailing list. No one responded that they wanted one so I never set it up.

If you all think it would be useful let me know and I will put it together.

JD

PS

We have to get these meets going again. Austin was the leader in Texas with meetings, now we are a distant second.

Rodel and the CZOT have a local mailing list. Do we want to just use that mailing list to get to the larger Z community, or do we want our own to keep the chatter down on the CZOT list?

Let me know what you all think.
