I used the Whiteline urethane bushings on the lower shock mounts and the lower inner rod bushings.
The SPL solids are on the compression rods. When you lower the car you will continuously tear through the compression rod bushings. The stock rubber ones give to the point that they eventually tear. The urethane bushings are more "durable" I guess you could say, but they aren't designed for handling the extra load that they are given due to angles from lowering the car. The SPL solid bushings utilize the spherical cone ends that allow them to move around and "adjust", if you will, to the angles you create by lowering your car.
It's been awhile since I've discussed any of these parts or even thought about them, so this is all from my horrible memory bank. It's what is making sense to me right now so I'm going to go with it and tell you that I am confident that it's factual information. LOL

^This - You could run all solid bushings if you wanted, but it would be one harsh ride and possibly make alot of noise.

Scored a DB fender...now my bumper will be the only thing black on my car.. now I wait patiently for a DB OEM bumper to show up and I will be GOLDEN!

I felt bad for your Z when I was there yesterday. But it's gonna be all good when that bumper is on. I bet it will be sooner rather than later.
